Home and Away spoilers: Logan and Mackenzie in trouble after her Ari heartbreak?

Mackenzie (Emily Weir) has been left reeling after discovering that her ex partner and good friend Ari (Rob Kipa-Williams) has suddenly passed away from cancer.

When she hears Dean (Patrick O’Connor) and Logan (Harley Bonner) discussing it, she breaks down crying and her grief is severe. Logan is left concerned – how did she even know Ari anyway?

When Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) breaks it to him that Ari and Mackenzie had a romantic past, Logan is left surprised – and concerned for new reasons. Mackenzie, to him, is acting like she’s grieving over someone she’s still in love with. What does this mean for their relationship?

Mackenzie can’t give him any clear answers – in fact, she doesn’t want to talk about it at all.

She tells Logan that she needs her space. Even though they’ve agreed on a new honesty policy in the aftermath of Neve (Sophie Bloom), she doesn’t need him to be overbearing.

Logan refuses to accept that Mackenzie can handle her grief alone, and pulls Ryder (Lukas Radovich) to one side in Salt.

He gives him his number and says that he needs to call him later and let him know how Mackenzie is doing. Ryder is reluctant to spy on his boss, but takes the number just in case.

Later, Ryder tries dialling Logan’s number, but Mackenzie swiftly appears next to him and Ryder is left to try and pretend he’s refusing a booking from a customer.

Mackenzie is furious – since when do they refer customers to the Diner? When Logan shows up in the bar and asks Ryder how it’s going in person, Mackenzie swiftly catches on about what they’re up to – and she isn’t happy…
