Drew Scott Looks Forward to Raising His Future Kids 'as Feminists' with Wife Linda Phan

Drew Scott is celebrating all the women in his life (current and future!)

The Property Brothers star, 40, took to Twitter to share his appreciation for females on International Women’s Day, posting two tweets alongside an image of his wife, Linda Phan, whom he married in 2018.

“Happy #InternationalWomensDay!” Scott tweeted. “This day belongs to everyone, everywhere. As we celebrate the achievements of women, let’s all work to #BalanceForBetter at home, at school, at work…”

The HGTV star also used his tweet to give a shoutout to his wife, and share some insight into how he and Linda are planning to parent their future children.

“My #1 woman here inspires me every day with her limitless compassion, kindness, strength and her love for the planet,” he continued in a Twitter thread. “When we have little ones (daughters AND sons), I look forward to raising them as feminists.”

Raising future feminists might not be too far off for Scott, who wed his longtime girlfriend in an over-the-top Italian ceremony last spring.

In January, Scott hinted at his plans to start a family with Phan by commenting on one of Joanna Gaines‘s Instagram posts with her six-month-old son Crew, in which she wrote that she thought that it was “time for the next size up” and hinted that her son was growing out of his clothing.

“We’ll be having kids soon so I’ll hit you up for hand me downs,” Scott wrote on Gaines’s photo.

In October 2018, Scott told PEOPLE that he and Phan were “excited” to have children, but hadn’t gotten down to the specifics of just how many bundles of joy they wanted to add to their family.

“We don’t know — do we want to have two, four, 15? We don’t quite know,” Drew joked while sitting down with PEOPLENow to promote his and twin Jonathan’s first children’s book, Builder Brothers: Big Plans

“That’s a bit of a jump,” Jonathan joked.

“I have to talk to Linda about that,” Drew said. “We look forward to having kids. No screaming rush. We have nieces and nephews that we get a lot of our playtime with, so for now we can get them hopped up on sugar and then pass them back to the parents.”
