Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Waitrose and Asda recall products – full list

Sainsbury’s 

Gosh! Sweet Potato Pakora sold at Sainsbury’s is being recalled by the manufacturer due to undeclared gluten. 

The product size is 226g with use by dates of May 17, May 24 and May 26, 2023. 

Sainsbury’s advised customers: “If you have coeliac disease or / an allergy/intolerance/sensitivity to Gluten then please do not eat them.

“We are asking customers who have purchased the above product with the use by date as described above not to eat them and to return it to their nearest Sainsbury’s store, where they will receive a full refund.” 

Sainsbury’s is also recalling its by Sainbury’s Mexican Style Chilli Cheddar 200g as it may contain Salmonella. 

The products affected have a use by date of June 12, June 22, and June 30, 2023. 

Sainsbury’s said: “Please do not consume this product with these best before dates. If you have bought one of the affected batches of this product, we advise you not to open or consume it.

“For a full refund please return the product to the store. Other products and date codes are not affected by this recall. Sainsbury’s apologises for any inconvenience caused and would like to thank you in advance for your understanding and co-operation.”

Tesco 

Tesco is also recalling Gosh! Sweet Potato Pakora but in two pack sizes: 171g and 266g. 

All products with a best before date between and including 27 April to 9 June, 2023 are affected and should be returned to the store for a full refund. 

ITSU 4 Chocolate Bao Buns are also being recalled because they may contain milk which isn’t declared on the product’s ingredients label. This could make people with a milk allergy become unwell. 

The product is 180g and has a best before date between 14 December, 2023 and 8 January, 2024. 

Aunt Bessie’s Crispy Whole Onion Rings are being recalled because they may contain a small quantity of incorrect product which contains egg and milk. As a result, this could be a safety risk to people with an allergy or intolerance to egg and/or milk. 

The pack is 375g and has a best before date of August 2024. 

Waitrose 

Rude Health Organic Ultimate Muesli 400g is an ongoing recall at Waitrose, this is because of the presence of undeclared Brazil nuts which could, if consumed, result in illness to those with a nut allergy. 

The product has a use by date of 8 Feburary, 2024 and should not be consumed. Instead, customers are asked to return it to store fir a full refund. 

Asda 

The only current recall at Asda is for a Badabulle Foldable Bath Seat. It has a batch code of 051221 and a barcode of EAN 3661276173835. 

Asda explained: “Following the control of our folding bath seats, we have detected in a rare occurrence a potential risk of choking and finger skin pinching for the child.

“If you have purchased Badabulle Foldable Bath Seat Batch Code 051221 please bring it back to your nearest store where you will be given a full refund. You do not need your receipt.

“We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused. If you would like any further information, please contact Asda Customer Relations on 0800 952 0101.”
