Quality Street brings back discontinued chocolate – just in time for Christmas

It’s been all change for fans of Quality Street recently.

First, it was announced that the popular chocolates will be losing their famous plastic wrappers, in a bid to go more eco-friendly.

But now it seems there will be a new addition to the chocolate box line-up – but one that we’ve encountered before.

That’s because Quality Street will be bringing back the Honeycomb Crunch – which was previously axed in 2018.

The choc was previously discontinued but has now been reinstated in John Lewis – but only in selected stores across the country.

In terms of make-up, it’s a smooth honeycomb-flavoured truffle containing crunchy honeycomb pieces, which are covered in milk chocolate.

It’ll be available in 18 John Lewis pick ‘n’ mix stations nationwide – which allows shoppers to create their own Quality Street tins.

Customers can pick from 12 different Quality Street options to fill a 1.2kg tub for £14.

However, some have been left upset at the return of the familiar chocolate – with many disappointed that the popular Coffee Creme isn’t back in the boxes. This particular sweet was a decadent dark chocolate containing coffee fondant, encased in a brown wrapper.

One angry person wrote on social media: ‘I can’t stand honeycomb crunch, it’s boring, bring back coffee creams.’

While another chipped in: ‘Every year I type the same thing. Bring back the COFFEE FONDANT!’

The Honeycomb Crunch will be available in these stores:
