Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William arrived at the Palace of Holyroodhouse tonight after the couple invited NHS workers to a drive-in cinema screening of Cruella. The Cambridge’s arrived in one of Prince Philip’s Land Rovers, loaned to them by the Queen.

For the occasion, the Duchess opted for a full-length tartan coat with gold detailing.

The coat featured colours of blue, green and purple with a thick belt around the middle to cinch in the waist.

Kate added a favourite pair of her heels to complete the look, complementing the green in the coat beautifully.

Her £525 Manolo Blahnik in dark green velvet are a staple in the Duchess’ wardrobe.

She has worn them several times before and has a large collection, with lots of different colours.

Fans were quick to comment on social media about the stunning coat.

One person said: “Kate is dazzling again.”

Another wrote: “What a sweet nod to Scotland!”
