To use you prep your hair by parting into sections, and using heat protectant.
You then "place the oval Mermade Blow-Dry Brush near the root and brush away from your head while gently rotating it" – and if you want to create curls you wrap the hair around the barrel and hold it there for a few seconds before releasing it.
