I got my lips tattooed so they’d be a pretty colour – I couldn't handle the pain and they now look huge

LIP fillers and lip blush tattooing procedures have become more and more popular recently.

And one woman, Jessie Carr, from Sydney, Australia, is another that has recently had her lips blush tattooed.

But people have been left shocked at the aftermath and swelling of Jessie’s lip blush tattoo procedure.

21-year-old Jessie took to TikTok to show off the results of her lip blush tattoo treatment and posted the video with the caption ‘Lip blush tattoo (currently swollen)’.

She said: “So I just came back from getting a lip blush tattoo done to my lips.”

In the video, we can see that Jessie’s lips are incredibly swollen.

She explained: “This is how it’s supposed to look when it’s swollen and it’s completely normal. It’s actually meant to be like this.

“Do not stress out or anything like that.”

Jessie revealed that she didn’t actually pay for the treatment and got it for free as part of a collaboration.

She revealed: “This was a collaboration so I didn't pay for it.

“I don’t want you guys to think they did a bad job because they definitely did a proper job and it’s meant to be like this.

“They were actually more swollen before and I think they’ve gone down slightly.

“They were bigger and more bruised but now the bruises are slowly going away.

“Some of the swelling has gone down but it’s still very swollen.

“I think it will take a few days for the swelling to go down.

“They were very sore and they still feel bruised but not as sore as when I was there getting it done.”

Jessie opened up about the pain of the treatment and it’s enough to put any of us off.

She added: “I would say the pain was pretty intense.

“I’m meant to do three rounds of lip blush but I could only do two because it was pretty intense pain.

“I will go back for a touch-up in eight weeks.”

Lip blush tattoo is a form of micropigmentation of the lips.

It is a non-invasive, semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo procedure that uses colour to create the effect of fuller, more plump and defined lips.

Lip blushing has become increasingly popular over the last few years, with many Instagram and TikTok users showing off their results.

Jessie Carr is just one TikToker that has shared her lip blush results and her videos have racked up over one million views.

She has uploaded a variety of videos about her lip blush, but her original viral video has 28.9k likes, 697 comments and 1,476 shares.

Although Jessie was under the impression that her lips should look swollen after the procedure, many TikTok users didn’t agree and took to the comments to express this.

One person said: “Lip blush tattoo is NOT meant to look like that!!”

Another added: “Sorry but that's NOT how they look on the first day..”

A third commented: “It's not meant to look like that straight after omg sorry.”

Another said: “Mine did NOT look like that.”

Someone else joked: “Well, thank god masks are in style while they go down!”

Meanwhile, I paid $15 for lip filler and thought no-one would notice – it was a massive mistake, I never should have gone cut price.

Also, I drank after having lip filler – it’s the worst thing I’ve ever done, my lips trebled in size & the pain was horrendous.

As well as this, I got lip filler and it went badly wrong – everyone is saying I look like a character from the Grinch.
