After releasing capsules of puffer jackets and scarves in recent weeks, Acne Studios has now returned to its ever-popular Face collection for Spring/Summer 2021. Throughout this collection, the face motif has been reworked and reinvented, including leather patches, holographic prints and an enamel metal plaque.
The SS21 Face collection features workwear-influenced styles, sporty items, shoes and accessories, with a focus on the core colors of black, light gray melange, white and “Blush Pink.” Other colorful notes come in teal, “Spearmint Green,” “Deep Red,” “Carrot Orange,” “Electric Purple,” and neon tones.
The workwear items are some of the stand-out pieces, with chore jackets, carpenter trousers and flannel overshirts all featuring alongside more sport-influenced items. The athletic pieces include half-zip tops, running shorts and leggings, while core jersey pieces feature prominently. Additionally, Accessories range from bucket hats and lanyards to gym bags, pencil pouches and a drawstring AirPods case. Footwear this season comes in the form of the high-top Bibila sneakers — a nod to ’80s basketball shoes — and the chunky slip-on Bennie leather sneaker.
Elsewhere in the collection, knitted jumpers and hats are made from Responsible Wool Standard-certified sustainable yarns, while organic cotton is used on jersey and fleece pieces.
