‘I’m a luddite,’ Ulrika told viewers as she pointed out the ‘little blue bits’ on the map and read out the temperature in Fahrenheit for ‘those of you still dealing in old money.’

Ulrika was treated to an old clip of herself from the show sporting big hair and an orange suit.

Reminiscing about her early days on the show, she recalled: ‘You were told to talk about as much as you could about your personal life.’

Ulrika presented the weather on Good Morning Britain until 1992 when she began hosting the entertainment show, Gladiators.

Chatting to Piers and Susanna Ried about her last breakfast TV appearance, she said: ‘Probably the last time might have been 31 years ago, I might have been once before.

‘I think I had no idea what to expect when I started I was 21 and you were told to talk as much as you could about your personal life because you were giving a piece of yourself.

‘Nowadays people have a greater understanding of what that means and what the consequences of that is.’

It was at the end of the interview when Piers then asked Ulrika if she would close out the show by doing the final weather report, and the star delightedly headed across the set and over to the screen to give fans her take on the latest forecast.

Meanwhile, the Swedish star revealed she has already been ‘on a few dates’ since her marriage to Brian Money came to an end in April after 11 years together.

The presenter also chatted to Piers and Susanna about her decision to speak publicly regarding the lack of intimacy in her marriage, saying that despite trying to look into the issue she ‘never got any answers.’

Ulrika said she’d actually met several male suitors face to face despite publicly signing up for the Over 50s dating app Lumen last year.

She said: ‘I was asked to front their campaign ahead of Christmas, which I thought was quite apt and funny. And also that feeling of that is how people meet each other nowadays, the idea of looking at a picture of somebody and going yeah I can probably…

Over: The presenter announced she had split from her fourth husband Brian Monet in April after 11 years of marriage

‘I put a picture of myself without any makeup and they said ”no it’s not the same person.” I use one from the publicity campaign and one when I’m looking more normal.’

Asked whether the app was yet to set the stage for any future romances, Ulrika added: ‘Not on the app but I have been on a couple of dates.’

In April, Ulrika announced that she had split from her husband Brian after over a decade together, and despite their relationship coming to an end they’ve stayed on friendly terms.

At the time the star said their marriage broke down after they struggled to be intimate, and has previously revealed they only had sex once in eight years.

On GMB she told Piers and Susanna: ‘It started off with me writing about the menopause and the onset of the menopause.

‘One of the aspects of that was how you feel about your body, and then my marriage broke down and I just thought that nobody was talking about the intimacy or lack of intimacy in relationships.

‘I don’t really have all the answers it was bringing up the conversation of why is this happening? I brought it up in our relationship and tried to find the answers to it but I never got any answers.

‘I’ve been asked to write about it and I asked him how he felt about it and he said fine.’
