They’re set to strip off for charity as part of the line-up for The Real Full Monty On Ice, which will air on ITV in two 90-minute specials on December 14 and 15.

And Linda Lusardi, Shaughna Phillips and Chris Hughes led the stars stripping off in stunning snaps promoting the show, which were released on Wednesday.

The former model, 62, Love Island beauty, 25, and reality star, 27, were among the stars who covered their modesty with various Christmas decorations in the first photos from the series.

Joining Chris, Linda, and Shaughna are actor Jamie Lomas, 45, Bob Champion, 72, and former Woman’s Hour presenter Dame Jenni Murray, 70.

Former rugby player Gareth Thomas, 46, will also take on the challenge, alongside Diversity dancer Perri Kiely, 24, actress Hayley Tamaddon, 43, TV star Jake Quickenden, 32, and This Morning’s Zoe Williams, 40.

The show is to be presented by Dancing On Ice judge Ashley Banjo, 32, who also took part in The Real Full Monty two years ago.

Also taking part: Joining Chris, Linda, and Shaughna are Dr Zoe Williams (L) and Hayley Tamaddon (R) who posed for promo snaps

Coleen Nolan, 55, will co-host, having taken part in the female version in the past. Pro dancers will also join the rink to skate during the routines.

Linda said of being on the show: ‘I do have a fear of hurting myself but the cause is far greater than my concerns. There’s no way I was going to say no.’

The former glamour model was left at ‘death’s door’ earlier this year while battling coronavirus alongside husband Sam Kane.

She told The Sun in August: ‘Sam’s had heart palpitations quite badly, and he’s under a cardiologist at the moment. They can’t see anything specifically wrong.

‘I’ve had some hair loss which has been a bit distressing. I still haven’t got the energy I had before although I’m getting there. Every week’s a bit better.’

Linda was hospitalised for 10 days and required oxygen and was attached to a drip during her terrifying ordeal.

The Dancing on Ice star suffered from severe chest pain, fever and vomiting and at times hoped she would not wake up.

While Shaughna, who is taking part in honour of her dad who died of cancer, claimed she hoped she could help others by being on the show.

‘If anyone watching is going through what I have and can feel like they’re not alone, I’d be so happy,’ she explained.

Nude: Jake Quickenden (L) and Bob Champion (R) are also taking part, the former said he won’t feel shy: ‘I did the musical Hair where I was naked every day, so this is not a massive deal’

Hosting duties: The show is to be presented by Dancing On Ice judge Ashley Banjo, 32, who also took part in The Real Full Monty two years ago

Chris explained that he felt it was ‘definitely the right thing to do,’ while Bob, who has suffered testicular cancer, added: ‘Having had cancer myself, I know how important it is. I was one of the lucky ones.’

Co-presenter Coleen gushed that The Real Full Monty was her ‘favourite show to do’ as ‘cancer has affected my family so devastatingly’, her sister Linda has incurable liver cancer and Anne is fighting breast cancer, and her sister Bernie died from breast cancer in 2013.

Of stripping off for charity, she reflected: ‘I’ll never feel comfortable about the end. I did think this year “Oh I won’t be nervous any more about learning a routine” – then Ashley puts it on ice! After the year everyone has had it will feel uplifting too.’

While Ashley said of the show: ‘Getting together safely is a challenge. But trying to get together and create this show on ice… being able to pull off this scale of project in this situation has been difficult.’

Nervous: Perri Kiely (L, Jamie Lomas pictured right) joked he was uncomfortable with stripping off: ‘The thought of everyone seeing me full pickle is, well, not something I want to think about’

Explaining why he wanted to be on the show, Gareth said: ‘It’s for my grandad who passed away with cancer, and because of my grandad, my mum took my dad to hospital and they found cancer – luckily in enough time.’

Perri joked that he was uncomfortable with stripping off, as he claimed: ‘The thought of everyone seeing me full pickle is, well, not something I want to think about.’

Jake, on the other hand, said he’s used to getting naked on stage so he won’t feel shy: ‘I did the musical Hair where I was naked every day, so this is not a massive deal. I don’t feel this is about how I look, there’s a much bigger agenda going.’

In his honour: Explaining why he wanted to be on the show, Gareth Thomas (pictured) said: ‘It’s for my grandad who passed away with cancer’

Racy: Dame Jenni claimed her husband thought she was ‘a nutcase’ for doing the show, after she originally said ‘absolutely not’ to taking part, only to change her mind

Dame Jenni claimed her husband thought she was ‘a nutcase’ for doing the show, after she originally said ‘absolutely not’ to taking part, only to change her mind.

Dr. Zoe had a similar reaction when she told her friends about being on the show, as she admitted: ‘People say: “You’re doing what?!” They’re a bit shocked.

‘But as soon as I explain why I’m doing it, they’re very supportive. Although a lot of them are saying, “Rather you than me.”‘

Jamie, whose father has prostate cancer, added: ‘It’s my gift to him, me making a fool of myself for a good cause. My dad is made up, my friends have been taking the mickey.’

While Hayley is taking part in honour of her friend Rebecca, who died of cancer six years ago, and said: ‘The fact it’s on ice as well, is just amazing for me because i love skating.’

The programme will air across two 90-minute specials over the Christmas season.

Of the show, Ashley said: ‘We are so proud of what this show has achieved in reminding people to check themselves for early signs of cancer and we’re going all out this year to get that message across.

‘Following lockdown, when far fewer people were getting health checks, now more than ever this message is important.

‘Performing on ice will take the challenge to a whole new level – the celebrities won’t know what’s hit them! What could possibly go wrong?’

Coleen said: ‘I keep saying ‘never again’ to getting my kit off but the response we get from the millions of women who feel empowered to check themselves after the show is incredible, so here we go again!

‘This year is more personal than ever for me as two of my amazing sisters are battling cancer once more.

‘I’m inspired by them and everyone I meet who’s been touched by this dreadful disease, so I’m absolutely thrilled to be back leading a new awesome group of women, ready to bare all with me.

‘But as this year it’s on ice, let’s just hope we don’t get frostbite on our unmentionables!’
