Strictly's Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman stun in sparkly jumpsuits

Strictly hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman stun in figure-hugging sparkly jumpsuits as the BBC show makes its much anticipated return

Strictly Come Dancing waltzed back onto TV screens when the show returned for its much anticipated 21st series on Saturday.

And hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman both dressed to impress for the opening episode as they both slipped into sparkly jumpsuits.

Tess, 54, flaunted her jaw-dropping figure in a chic black number adorned with gold sequin stripes.

The halterneck look showed off her toned arms and she added extra height to her frame with a pair of strappy heels.

Tess accented her age-defying features with a glam make-up palette and styled her blonde glossy tresses poker straight.

Meanwhile Claudia, 51, stunned in an ultra chic black velvet jumpsuit by Nadine Merabi, costing a cool £395, with its dazzling crystal-embellished sparkling under the studio’s lights.

The outfit boasted shoulder pads and wide legged trousers and she added a pop of colour with a bright red manicure.

Claudia sported her iconic fringe and lashings of eye-liner as she introduced the latest celebrity dancers to the audience.

Designer Nadine Merabi exclusively told MailOnline: ‘Claudia’s style is always cool and chic, she’s the perfect muse. As a designer, it’s incredible to see someone like Claudia bring my creations to life on Strictly’.

‘Claudia has always been incredibly supportive of the brand and we value our relationship with her so highly. Tonight, she’s wearing the Luna jumpsuit – this launched online for pre-order today and is sure to be a sell out piece for us this season’.

The 2023 BBC One series will feature an immaculate star-studded line up, as well as unexpected changes with professional dancers – with one notable dancer choosing to exit the show, while another is forced to pull out from competing.

This year’s Strictly will see Amanda Abbington, Angela Rippon, Layton Williams, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Eddie Kadi, Angela Scanlon, Zara McDermott, Adam Thomas and Nikita Kanda take to the floor.

Incredible: The opening episode saw the professional dancers perform an showstopping routine

They’ll be joined by Ellie Leach, Jody Cundy, Bobby Brazier, Nigel Harman, Annabel Croft and Les Dennis.

Strictly’s early training begins with looking at group routines so producers can test different pairings and spot any good matches.

The celebrities then discover their professional dance partners, before they kick off training to make their debut on the dancefloor the following week.

It’s been reported that this year’s Strictly pros are clamouring to be paired up with EastEnders star Bobby and former Love Island contestant Zara.

A source told The Sun: ‘Zara and Bobby are absolutely the favourites. All the dancers want to be paired with them because they both have serious potential on the dance floor.

‘There’s a battle going on between the pros as they all try to convince bosses to get the best pairing.

‘They know their airtime is largely dependent on how talented their celebrity pairing is, so everything is to play for at this stage.’

The insider added that Les Dennis and Angela Scanlon both surprised in initial training as they got to work on the dance floor.
