Strictly Come Dancing star Katya Jones took to Instagram yesterday to announce she was back on social media after a short absence. The 32-year-old had no choice but to take a break from the picture-sharing site after facing some technical issues.

The professional dancer informed her 178,000 followers that she’d had “problems” with her phone.

In an update on her Story, Katya declared: “I’m back.

“Hi guys. Sorry I had problems with my phone and couldn’t use Instagram for a few days. But I’m back!”

She then went on to tell her supporters what she’d been up to during her few days away.

“I had a really nice couple of days. Yesterday was filming something fun.

“Me and Janette [Manrara] went to see Black Widow… phenomenal! Florence [Pugh] was incredible. I loved it so much.

“And I had a really good day today – I’m off to hot yoga,” she continued as she sat in her car.

Katya went on to share footage from her night out with her co-star Janette.

The pair wowed in coordinating plunging numbers and over-the-knee boots for the star-studded event.

Katya opted for a black tuxedo-style mini dress with lace detailing at the neckline.

Janette wore a metallic blue and gold playsuit which featured shorts and a low-cut neckline, which went all the way down to her navel.

Just last month, she was announced as the new It Takes host replacing former presenter Zoe Ball, after quitting her role as a professional dancer on the show.

It comes as fellow pro Anton Du Beke takes his place on the judging panel for the 2021 series.

Katya said she was “thrilled” for her co-star, but would miss dancing with him.

“I’m gonna need therapy, because I won’t have a chance to dance with him again, but I am so beyond thrilled for this legendary man!

“Oddly, looking forward to be critiqued by our new Strictly judge, so I will have to make sure that footwork in the Feather step is spot on,” she wrote online before her break from the site.

Elsewhere on Instagram, Katya warned fans to “be careful” after receiving a call from scammers.

“Had two phone calls today from the SCAMMERS!” she explained.

“They were claiming to suspend my NIN if I didn’t take action. BUT I FOLLOWED @ravwilding advice and REPORTED them!!!(sic)

“Please be careful!” the BBC star urged her followers.
