‘Her father conveniently waited until literally moments before our [Billboard Music Awards] performance when I was backstage in the dressing room and told me if I did not sign an NDA he would not allow me on stage.

The Grammy-winning singer last week spoke with the court for the first time in the 13-year history of the conservatorship, which was implemented amid a pileup of personal problems.
‘I cried on the phone for an hour and he loved every minute of it,’ Britney told the court of her father. ‘The control he had over someone as powerful as me – he loved the control to hurt his own daughter 100,000 percent. He loved it.
‘I just want my life back. And it’s been 13 years. And it’s enough. It’s been a long time since I’ve owned my money. And it’s my wish and my dream for all of this to end without being tested.’
Jamie continues to be the sole conservator of his daughter’s estate and wealth, with court-appointed conservator Jodi Montgomery overseeing the singer’s personal care the past two years.
