Star of ITV2 show The Cabins plans on ‘heading into Love Island villa’ this summer

The Cabins star Bertie Garratt has hinted that he wants to swap one reality show for another and head into the Love Island villa this summer.

The 23 year old runs a painting and decorating business, The Brush Brothers, with his brother Harry Garratt, but he's since swapped his daily grind for life in the spotlight.

Bertie was one of 12 singletons taking part in the ITV2 reality series this year and he entered the show after being found on social media by its producers.

The Cabins sees a host of singletons pack their bags and go to stay in three cabins in the woods in the hope of finding love.

Now, he has his eyes set on another hit ITV series – Love Island!

Talking to OK! Magazine, Bertie shared that the producers of Love Island had already been in touch in a bid to get him to join the series.

"Everyone keeps telling me I should go on Love Island, and I've had an email from them asking me to apply," he told us while on the red carpet at SX Events Launch Party.

Bertie went on to say: "I'm going to go ahead and do it," hinting he was going to give producers what they wanted.

He added: "I've met some fellow reality stars and I'm starting to get more work from it all. Things are moving in the right direction."

Bertie also shared that he'd had interest from other TV channels, hinting we'd be seeing his face on our screens again in the near future.

Despite his desire to star on a reality show about finding love, Bertie tells us he's "not looking for love," at present.

He said: "I'm not really looking for love, more just letting it come to me!"

"I don't use dating apps or anything like that, it's better when it happens naturally. Plus I've been catfished before."

The Glastonbury-based reality star has been single for around a year and was partnered up with Annabelle, 23, who lives in Surrey, on the show.

The pair shared a cabin but unfortunately their romance didn't blossom and Bertie tells OK! he's "no longer in touch" with her.

"Her and her sister Megan who was also on the show actually unfollowed everyone," Bertie said.

Asked about how the show works, he shared: "They sort of make their own narrative and story for you. A lot of the stuff that got aired of me, or didn't get aired, I was quite surprised at and so was Annabelle who was the girl I was with."

Bertie has amassed a following of 36,000 since leaving the reality show and he can often be seen posting model snaps, pictures working out or at events on his social media.

The star also told OK! that he could "possibly" be taking part in Celebrity Boxing competition Boxstar UK, and shared that he was excited about the prospect.
