And Simon Cowell appeared overjoyed with the result, as he left the Eventim Apollo in London wearing a beaming smile with his partner Lauren Silverman, 41.

The music mogul, 59, couldn’t contain his glee as he displayed his pearly while veneers with a broad grin, while sat in the back of a car after the show.

Simon pulled some very animated facial expressions while showcasing a number of friendly gestures out of his window as he raised his hand up to do an okay sign and a thumbs up.

Putting on an affectionate display the father-of-one sweetly held hands with his other half as they cruised along together.

Simon sported a crisp white shirt that he left unbuttoned in order to show off his hairy chest.

‘This isn’t about the glitz and the glamour for you. Or about fame. You served your country and I hope tonight they serve you.’

Colin – who had people of all ages chanting his name – pipped magicians X and Ben Hart to the post, who had joined him in the final three.
