The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge caught up with Cruella stars Emma Thompson, 62, and Emma Stone, 32, ahead of their new Disney film premiere. The Royal couple thanked the pair for allowing them to have a preview of the film for NHS workers at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
During their chat, Kate asked the actresses about filming the movie in London.
Emma S went on to reveal that they shot a motorcycle scene in front of Buckingham Palace.
Kate asked: “Was it a fun film to film?”
“So much fun,” she replied. “We were all over London, we were in front of Liberty, they transformed Carnaby Street into 70s London, which was amazing.
“And then, we were in front of Buckingham Palace at one point, I was riding a motorcycle around The Mall.”
“We should have had you stopped, Emma,” Prince William joked. “That’s very dangerous.”
Laughing, she replied: “I know, I really got away with it. It’s incredible.”
Emma T went on to joke that the couple would want to wear some of the “amazing” outfits from the movie.
“Obviously you can’t wear them in public,” she laughed.
The group went on to discuss being allowed to hug after restrictions recently eased.
Prince William said: “I got propositioned by a 96-year-old lady called Betty yesterday, who wanted to kiss me.
“She’s in a care home and I said, ‘Betty if I do that I’m going to get slapped on the back of the head for inappropriate social distancing’.

“And she said, ‘I’ll have you afterwards then’, she was a right character.”
Kate joked: “Is this what happens when I’m not around?”
Emma S shared further details about what it was like playing the ultimate villain Cruella De Vil.
She told Glamour Magazine: “It was so cathartic.
“It’s incredible when you let any social thoughts drop out of your head, when you think no one has to like me and in fact think, ‘I’d prefer if they didn’t.’
“I just want what I want. I am single-minded.
“It is not something that you can really live in, in real life, for very long at all but it’s just so phenomenal!”
On perfecting the character’s cackle, she added: “There was a lot of practicing in the shower, because it’s actually embarrassing to practice laughing in front of people.”
