Love Island’s Shannon Singh has spoken out about the relationships from this year’s series, suggesting that many of the couples are merely ‘keeping up appearances.’

The budding reality star, 23, has recently rekindled a romance with former flame Ben Sterling and admitted that she is safeguarding their relationship, a ‘luxury’ which her fellow contestants don’t have.

Giving her take on the Love Island couples to The Sun Online, Shannon said: ‘Their relationships are almost keeping up a job. They have got the whole public looking at their relationship.

‘I feel like it is keeping up appearances’: Love Island’s Shannon Singh revealed why she thinks relationships from her series won’t last

‘They all have moved in together but I feel like it is keeping up appearances and I don’t have to do that.’

The three final couples from this year’s series – Millie Court and Liam Reardon, Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran and Faye Winter and Teddy Soares – remain together and have recently moved in.

Yet Shannon believes that too many people can ‘peer’ into their relationships and if mistakes are made, they play out in front of everyone.

Shannon, whose ventures since her brief stint on the ITV2 show have included a Boux Avenue deal and success on American video live streaming service Twitch, said she wants to keep her relationship ‘normal and happy.’

‘If I had met someone on the show I don’t think it would have gone that great because you have everyone peering in on your relationship,’ she admitted.

Regarding her work with Twitch, Shannon explained why she’s content with her own niche: ‘I think people come off the show and they do brand deals and it’s all with fast fashion brands and every year is repeat of what the last people done.’

On Tuesday, it was revealed that Love Island runners-up Chloe and Toby have moved into a £1million mansion conversion in Essex once owned by King Henry VIII.

The reality couple, who missed out on winning the dating show to Millie, 24, and Liam, 22, will be living just a stone’s throw away from their former co-stars after they moved into a £1million Elizabethan property last week.

Chloe, 26, joked the pair’s two-bedroom apartment has ‘so much room for activities’ as herself and Toby celebrated moving in together for the first time with a bottle of champagne on Monday.
