And Richard Madeley looked every inch the doting grandad as he carried his son Jack’s little boy Kit, two, while out for a stroll in Hampstead on Sunday.
The TV presenter, 65, cut a smart figure for the outing in a grey blazer and seemed to be in good spirits as he chatted away while holding toddler.

Richard donned a relaxed white shirt and jeans with his sharp blazer, before completing his laid-back weekend look with a pair of brown boots.
As well as carrying Kit, who was wrapped up warm in a cream jacket and soft green tracksuit bottoms, the media personality held onto his keys with one hand.
The family resemblance was also clear to see, with both Madeleys sporting long locks swept to one side.

Kit is Richard and his wife Judy’s only grandson, with the tot being born in 2018 to their son Jack, 35, and his girlfriend Issy.
The grandparents have previously been seen doting on the youngster, even taking him on TV during their return to This Morning in 2019.
Richard announced Kit’s arrival in his Daily Express column in July 2018, while Judy admitted she was a ‘besotted and biased grandma’.
She also revealed that her and Richard had missed the first day with their new grandchild because they were abroad.

‘We’d been in France for less than a week, smugly thinking the baby would probably be late (as this was a first pregnancy and they usually are) when poor Issy, just two days into her maternity leave, began having contractions in the middle of her baby shower,’ Judy revealed.
She continued: ‘She ended the party in hospital and 24 hours later baby Kit was born in a birthing pool. Panic stations for us. We boarded the first flight we could out of Nice thinking we’d be seeing our new baby boy that afternoon. But French air traffic controllers put paid to that plan by staging their annual Gallic strike festival.
‘Delayed for hours we finally got to see little Kit Alexander Richard Madeley the following day – on Wednesday.’

Other than Kit, the couple have two more grandchildren- Ivy, seven, and Edith, three, – who are the daughters of one of Judy’s twin sons from her first marriage.
They are also parents to their daughter Chloe, 33, who is married to former rugby union player James Haskell, 36.
The family outing comes after Richard admitted he thinks he ‘suits’ being a presenter on Good Morning Britain after Piers Morgan’s departure from the programme.
The TV host has been a stand-in presenter alongside Susanna Reid since 2017 and confirmed he will be back again next month.
Speaking to The Sun, Richard admitted he is unsure if he will take over permanently in the role, despite being named as one of the front-runners for the gig.
Heading off? Richard also carried his keys while strolling along the street
He said: ‘It’s a good show to do. It suits me and, yeah, I think I suit it. Whether I’m going to be asked to take over, I have no idea. I have had no approach at any level formally or informally. The phone hasn’t rung, I haven’t had a ping into my inbox.
‘The bookies have me down as the front-runner and there have been opinion polls where I’ve come out reasonably well, but there’s a huge difference between that and it being a reality.
‘I’ll go in, I’ll fill in, I’ll enjoy it and I hope they ask me back. But in terms of sitting in for Piers, it’s a completely open question.’

Richard admitted that he doesn’t have a career plan and has turned down a lot of work that sounded like ‘too much hard work’.
The broadcaster added that being offered the Good Morning Britain gig would have meant more to him when he was 40 as he feels he has nothing left to prove now.
Other names in the running for the job include Judge Rinder, Good Morning Britain’s Adil Ray and Ben Shephard and current fill-in presenter Alastair Campbell.
Departure: In March, Piers announced he had quit GMB after Alex Beresford, 40, challenged his comments about the Duchess of Sussex, 37, and her interview with Oprah Winfrey, 67
