Tanya Bardsley was taken to hospital on Friday following a stress-related seizure which caused her to collapse while working as a model during a photoshoot.

The Real Housewives of Cheshire personality, 40, was promoting her clothing brand MyGlamStyle when an ambulance was called to her mansion in Wilmslow, which she shares with her footballer husband Phil Bardsley, 36, and their four children.

After being discharged, the ADHD-diagnosed star took to Instagram on Saturday to reassure fans she is well and resting, but would be taking time away from her phone for a number of days.

An insider told MailOnline: ‘It was absolutely terrifying and everyone was screaming fearing the worst. She’s now been discharged but this has obviously been an extremely scary 24 hours for the family.

‘She’s so grateful for the incredible ambulance and hospital staff, who were nothing but amazing throughout. 

‘Tanya has been working so hard lately with filming and running her businesses, training for her Tanya’s Body Goals fitness platform, while also trying to be the perfect mum during the school holidays.

‘She’s also had a number of family deaths recently so it’s been an extremely challenging time. She’s now going to be spending the coming days resting before returning to hospital next week to undergo more tests.

‘Tanya is as tough as they come and has been through so much in her life so we’re all praying she’s able to fully recover.’

Taking to Instagram, Tanya wrote: ‘The @myglamstyleuk photoshoot I will never forget.

‘One minute in the studio the next minute in a ambulance, I collapsed from stress from over working and basically trying to be perfect in every area of my life,mum, wife, business woman, carer for poorly relatives [sic].

‘My brain and body shut down as a warning, I’m having a few days off my phone so sorry to any1 if I don’t reply to messages and emails @phil_bardsley is forcing me to rest [sic].

‘Thank you to @caffy_mason @lcrookes @kikisworld___ and the ambulance service for your quick reactions ❤️ have a great bank holiday every1 ❤️ @myglamstyleuk ❤️ hair and pictures and paramedic @kikisworld___ ❤️ [sic],’ she concluded.

Last month, Tanya discussed her feeling of relief after she was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) before her 30th birthday.

The reality star revealed doctors had treated her for anxiety and depression for many years before finally discovering she had the condition.

Speaking candidly on This Morning, she said she had ‘been in a lot of dark places’ before her diagnosis, and said she would suffer from ‘a sinking feeling and an inner restlessness’.

She explained: ‘All my life I’ve been treated for anxiety and depression, six weeks before my 30th birthday I was diagnosed with ADHD. It comes out differently in women.

‘You think of a little boy running around, but a lot of women have it. It comes out as a sinking feeling and an inner restlessness.’

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a behavioural condition defined by inattentiveness, hyperactivity and impulsiveness.

Some 3.6 per cent of boys and 0.85 per cent of girls suffer in the UK.
