Rebel Wilson has shared her day on a plate after losing an impressive 35kg over the past 18 months.

The actress revealed her remarkable transformation is partially down to following the Mayr Method diet plan, Mashed reports.

The diet, developed by Austrian physician Dr. Franz Xaver Mayr, eliminates certain foods, reduces sugar and also encourages certain eating practices such as chewing food thoroughly.

It also promotes a big breakfast, with meals getting smaller throughout the day.

For breakfast, Rebel is likely to enjoy a bowl of quinoa porridge with blueberries or organic eggs.

She has fish such as trout and smoked salmon or skinless chicken breast for lunch with vegetables.

For dinner, Rebel enjoys more protein and vegetables but a smaller portion.

According to the Sunday Mirror, the Australian star checked in at the Vivamayr Altaussee wellness centre in Austria to kickstart her weight loss.

The publication reports that sugar, alcohol and caffeine are all banned at the centre, while dinner is frowned upon and guests are taught to chew every mouthful 40 times.

The centre’s weight care program costs $5097 for a week while a two-week program can cost up to $9500.

According to the website, ‘the Vivamayr Weight Care program is aimed at optimising your weight and consists of a fixed and variable part.’

Rebel also recently shared the very simple way she shed 35kg was walking.

She told Apple Fitness+ in January that walking – rather than doing endless high-intensity workouts – had actually been her secret weapon for weight loss.

Rebel said a doctor at a health retreat had advised her to take up walking, insisting it was the ‘best way’ for her to shed the kilos.

‘The doctor said to me, ‘Rebel, the best way for you to lose unwanted body fat is just simply walking,” she explained.

‘Doesn’t have to be high-intensity, doesn’t have to be uphill, just moderate walking an hour a day. And if you can do that, for you, for your body type, it’s, like, the best way to lose unwanted body fat.’

To keep her walks interesting, Rebels said she often listens to podcasts.
