Pip Edwards has tense phone call just hours after Michael Clarke split

Furious Pip Edwards has a VERY tense phone call just hours after Michael Clarke broke up with her because he couldn’t handle the media scrutiny

Fashion designer Pip Edwards doesn’t appear to be taking her break-up with former Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke very well.

The P.E Nation founder and mother-of-one, 40, looked furious while shouting down the phone in Sydney’s Bondi Beach on Friday.

She gestured wildly as she walked down Bondi’s famous promenade and didn’t seem bothered about other people overhearing her.

She kept things casual in leggings and a jumper from her own activewear label. Even her iPhone was emblazoned with her company’s logo.

But Pip opted for pink Nike sneakers to complete her ensemble, and concealed her gaze behind a pair of designer sunglasses.

She pulled her short blonde hair back into a half-ponytail and highlighted her youthful complexion by wearing minimal makeup.

You ok, hun? The P.E Nation founder, 40, looked furious while shouting down the phone in Bondi Beach, Sydney, on Friday

Furious: She didn’t seem bothered about other people overhearing her on the esplanade

She started the conversation with a smile on her face, but things soon went south.

By the end of the exchange, the businesswoman looked ready to hang up the phone in frustration without saying goodbye.

Pip went home and blew off some steam by jumping on her teenage son Justice’s trampoline.

What is happening? Pip gestured wildly and looked visibly frustrated

Repping the brand: She walked down Bondi’s famous promenade in leggings and a jumper from her own activewear label. Even her iPhone was emblazoned with her company’s logo

She later shared a photo to Instagram of herself on the trampoline and joked that she was ‘bouncing off the walls’ in self-isolation.

Just hours before the photos were taken, a source told Daily Mail Australia Michael had ended their fling because he couldn’t handle the media attention.

Rumours first emerged the pair were seeing each other in February, after the retired cricketer, 39, announced his split from his wife of seven years, Kyly.

Oh, dear: She started the conversation with a smile on her face, but things soon went south

The Clarkes ended their marriage in September, but didn’t announce their separation until five months later. They share custody of four-year-old daughter Kelsey Lee.

When news of a blossoming relationship surfaced, Michael and Pip both denied they were are anything more than friends.

They told Daily Mail Australia in February they had been friends for 12 years and were simply working on a project together.

Pip also insisted the rumours were ‘absolutely unfounded and untrue’.

Meanwhile, Michael’s P.A. Sasha Armstrong downplayed the whispers, which had been circulating across Sydney’s eastern suburbs for months.

‘Michael has known Pip for over a decade and is currently working with both Pip and Claire [Tregoning, co-founder of P.E Nation] on a special project,’ Sasha said.

Dumped? Just hours before the photos were taken, a source told Daily Mail Australia that Michael had ended their fling because he couldn’t handle the media attention

The pair have been spotted together on several occasions over the past two months, and were most recently seen taking a stroll in the harbourside suburb of Rose Bay on March 22.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Michael Clarke’s representative for comment.

A spokesperson for Pip said their previous statement stands that Pip and Michael are friends ‘and that is as far as their relationship goes’.

Rebound: Rumours first emerged the pair were seeing each other in February, after the retired cricketer, 39, announced his split from his wife of seven years, Kyly

If it’s true that media attention contributed to Michael’s split with Pip, it certainly wouldn’t be the first time this has happened.

The publicity surrounding Michael’s previous relationship with Lara Bingle is believed to have contributed to the couple calling off their engagement in 2010.

Meanwhile, Kyly seemingly alluded to her estranged husband’s latest break-up in a cryptic post shared to Instagram on Thursday.

The interior designer and House Rules judge, 38, wrote a lengthy post about gratitude and prioritising family life.

She began: ‘How is your Thursday going? What decisions do you make constantly every day to keep evolving, growing, changing and developing into an even better version of yourself?

‘Do you give yourself time to embrace the day, be grateful for what life has given you, be thankful for the people around you and also a moment to pat yourself on the back and congratulate yourself for your achievements and how far you have come?

‘Maybe now is the time to do just that.’

Rumour mill: Michael’s personal assistant, Sasha Armstrong, also downplayed the whispers, which had been circulating across Sydney’s eastern suburbs for months

History repeating itself? If it’s true that media attention contributed to Michael’s split with Pip, it wouldn’t be the first time this has happened. The publicity surrounding Michael’s previous relationship with Lara Bingle is believed to have contributed to their break-up in 2010

She also encouraged her followers to ‘really get to know yourself, your family, your kids and the things that make you tick’ and to ‘invest your time in the elements [of] life that bring your soul peace’.

While the post was mainly about Kyly’s wellness philosophy, the quote about being ‘grateful for what life has given you’ may have been a subtle reference to Michael and their marriage breakdown.

Michael and Kyly are putting on a united front for the time being while co-parenting their daughter, Kelsey Lee.

Talk of the town: Sydney’s eastern suburbs had been abuzz with rumours about Pip and Michael for months, but it seems their relationship fizzled out almost as soon as it started

Kyly told The Daily Telegraph recently: ‘I’m taking each day as it comes.’

‘It doesn’t seem that different because [Michael and I] see each other enough anyway and Kelsey Lee is our priority, which is really important.’

The Clarkes married in the Blue Mountains in May 2012 in front of a handful of guests. Their divorce is estimated to be worth $40 million.
