Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen has revealed she keeps to one strict rule to ensure she can cope with all nine of her children on Christmas Day.
The Yorkshire Shepherdess, 47, who shares her children with husband Clive and recently revealed it was a "chance meeting" that started the show, opened up on the family festive chaos during an appearance on Our Big Yorkshire Christmas.
During the show, Amanda and Clive, 66, stood by and watched their children opening their presents in front of the tree.
The group were decked out in Santa hats as they crowded round laughing and smiling.
But Amanda declared how important it was that "with a family of nine" they "don't go overboard".
"We get stuff that suits them," dad Clive agreed.
Despite keeping to their strict plan not to go mad with gifts and and an overload of festive decorations, the whole family were all-smiles.
The children also helped with the cooking prep and laid the table for Christmas dinner.
The show also featured stars from other Channel 5 shows such as The Yorkshire Vet.
It was filmed during 2020, in which families were forced to self-isolate in lockdown due to the coronavirus.
Since then, the married mum and dad have faced scrutiny over their relationship as it came out that the couple had faced issues within their marriage.
Appearing on Lorraine on Wednesday 8 December, Amanda explained the situation and said she just "gets on with" the speculation.
“You have your difficult moments. But you have to take the rough with the smooth," Amanda went on, talking about how the family copes with the difficulties.
“We’ve just talked about how you weather a storm. So we are pretty resilient in the hills," the mum-of-nine said.
“That’s all you’ve got to do. You’ve got to remember, the bottom line is, if you are proud of what you’re doing, you kind of sort of have to shoulder it.”
“In other words; ‘Get on with it’. Ignore it," she added.
