A Norwegian princess has found love with an American shaman and “spiritual guide” to the stars, whose celebrity pals include Gwyneth Paltrow, Nina Dobrev and Rosario Dawson.
Princess Martha Louise, 47, the eldest child of King Harald and Queen Sonja, revealed on Instagram that she’s in a committed relationship with her “twin flame” Shaman Durek Verrett.
“When you meet your twin flame, you know. I have been lucky enough to have met mine,” she wrote on Sunday. “@shamandurek has changed my life, like he does with so many. He has made me realize that unconditional love actually exists here on this planet.”
Durek describes himself as a “spiritual guide and gifted healer” and “sixth generation shaman” on his website and social media pages. His Instagram is littered with photos of his celebrity friends including Gwyneth Paltrow, who he has dubbed his “soul sis.”
He’s been interviewed on the actress’ lifestyle website “Goop” on subjects such as getting rid of negative energy.
The princess, who ended a 14-year marriage with her husband Ari Behn in 2016, warned critics of her new relationship to “hold your horses.”
“It is not up to you to choose for me or to judge me,” she wrote. “I don’t choose my man to satisfy any of you or the norms or boxes you have chosen in your mind for me to be in… I choose from love. And that’s it.”
The mom-of-three concluded her post with: “Shaman Durek is merely a man I love spending my time with and who fulfills me. So thank you for respecting my actions and my choice of partner. All I know at this moment is that we love each other and I am super happy.
