Megan Thee Stallion Founded a Whole Charity for Her Birthday

Most people plan a party or go on a shopping spree to celebrate a birthday, but Megan Thee Stallion founded a charity to ring in her 27th.

The American rapper shared the news in an Instagram post today.

“In celebration of my birthday, I’m honored to introduce the Pete and Thomas Foundation. @PeteThomasFDN is a non-profit organization focused on uplifting and assisting women, children, senior citizens and underserved communities in Houston, Texas and across the world,” she wrote in the post caption, next to a compelling video montage of old photos of herself and her family members.

The “Savage” rapper and Houston native started the Pete and Thomas Foundation to honor the memory of her father, Joseph Pete Jr., and her mother, Holly Thomas.

“My parents raised me to help others and give back, and I’m incredibly proud to launch this foundation in their memory,” Megan, whose real name is Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, wrote on Instagram.

The charity aims to provide resources for women, children, and senior citizens in underserved communities in Houston, Texas, and around the globe in order to make “meaningful and positive” changes in their lives, according to the website.

The main focus will be on education, housing, health, and wellness.

“I really wanted to make my mom proud. I really wanted to make my grandma proud, wanted to make myself proud. You know, how can I help something? Like, what can I do to make a change?” Megan says in a voice-over in the video.

It’s unclear what other activities—beyond this massive achievement—Megan has planned for her birthday, but according to her social media, she has been enjoying Fashion Week in New York City.

On Monday, she shared various Instagram Stories of the Coach fall/winter 2022 show, where she sat front row.
