Lucy Fallon’s pregnancy cravings as she ‘drinks vinegar’ and munches pickled onions

All Star Musicals winner and ex-Corrie star Lucy Fallon is suffering pregnancy side effects and cravings that footballer boyfriend Ryan Ledson has described as “disgusting”.

The 26 year old actress, who played Bethany Platt on the cobbles, is expecting a baby with the footballer in February, and Lucy says she has had to deal with "horrible" morning sickness, as well as an "obsession" with vinegar.

Speaking exclusively to OK!, Lucy shared: "The first 12 weeks were rough. I was being sick quite a lot and I felt unwell every day. It was like having the worst hangover you’ve ever had every day, as soon as you wake up.

"Then the sickness stopped and I got migraines for a week. They made me sick, too. It was horrible.”

To make things worse, Lucy has had a “bad phobia” of being sick since she was little. “It was quite traumatising,” she adds. “Now I’ve been sick every day I think I’m just immune to it!”

Lucy has also discovered she has a craving for vinegar, which Preston North end Ryan, 25, is less than thrilled about.

“It’s disgusting! I hate vinegar at the best of times, but Lucy is going above and beyond,” he says. “She drowns her chips in it, but I guess I can’t say too much as it is what she wants!”

“It’s a bit of a problem,” Lucy laughs. “There is a sea of vinegar at the bottom of the plate. I could literally get the vinegar and drink it, that’s how obsessed I am.

"It’s making my mouth water thinking about it! I’m also loving pickled onions and anything pickled. Ryan is repulsed by me, but it’s what I want!”

The couple have been together for nearly two years after meeting on the celebrity dating app Raya, and are both thrilled at their baby news following their miscarriage earlier in the year.

“We’re very fortunate that it happened again for us,” says Lucy. “We weren’t putting pressure on it, and I was trying not to put pressure on myself and then it just ended up happening that way for us. It was obviously just meant to happen.”

Lucy remembers how she found out she was pregnant, and the first person she told – and it wasn’t Ryan!

“I just had a feeling that I was pregnant. I did a test and the line came up straight away. I actually told my mum before I told Ryan! I FaceTimed her straight away as I felt like my eyes were playing tricks on me.

"Then Ryan came home from training and I was holding the test in my hand and I just said, ‘This has happened!’”

“It was a bit of a surprise coming back from training to that,” Ryan says. “I was a bit shocked because of what we went through and I didn’t think it would happen that soon.

"But we’re made up and it felt like the next stage for us. It felt like it was meant to be.”
