Love Island 2022: ‘I want a love like Molly Mae and Tommy’s!’ TWO hunky new bombshells Jay and Remi are set to shake up the villa
Love Islanders are set to get the shock of their lives on Tuesday’s episode with the arrival of two hunky new bombshells.
A first look at the episode showed the arrival of investment analyst Jay Younger, 28, from Edinburgh and model Remi Lambert, 22, from Manchester.
The pair made a dramatic entrance into the villa in a teaser clip – and promised to do their best to shake up the couples.
Here come the boys: Love Islanders are set to get the shock of their lives on Tuesday’s episode with the arrival of two hunky new bombshells (L – Jay, R – Remi)
When asked ‘Why do you think you are a catch?’ Jay said: ‘I think I genuinely have what most females want.
‘I’ve got a good job, I think I am a good looking lad and I have a lot of fun so I feel like I could add a lot of value to their lives if they add a lot of value to mine.’
When Remi was asked ‘Why Love Island and why now?’ he responded: ‘I am single AF! When I saw Molly [Mae Hague] and Tommy [Fury] and saw how strong they are together, I thought ‘I want a love like that.’
Detailing his dating history, the hunk added: ‘Recently I’ve been going on a lot of dates but I feel like now it’s time to find something more serious.
‘I usually meet girls out and about on a night out. If I see a girl I like, I’ll just go over without hesitation and sometimes I meet girls through Instagram.’
The hunk added that he’s quite ‘laid-back’ when it comes to competing for girls in the villa, saying: ‘It’s happened before where I’ve been in a club and guys have tried to move to a girl and I’m like ”If you want to chat to her, you can chat to her but I’m going to do my thing.” I always win!’

Meanwhile Jay said: ‘I think I am at the point in my life where it would be quite fun to find someone and have fun along the way. And doing it in Mallorca and in the Villa would be a great opportunity, so why not?’
The investment analyst added that he believes he is a catch because he ‘genuinely have what most females want.’
‘I’ve got a good job, I think I am a good looking lad and I have a lot of fun so I feel like I could add a lot of value to their lives if they add a lot of value to mine,’ he added.
‘I’ve just been very indecisive. I think I am just not one to settle down easily.’
Soulmates: Molly Mae and Tommy were runners-up on the 2019 series – and are still together three years on
Asked whether he is competitve, Jay added: ‘I am very competitive, so I wouldn’t be afraid to go after a girl if I wanted them.’
Monday’s episode also saw the first dumping of the series, with lounge host Afia Tonkmor, 25, given her marching orders from the villa.
She was the last remaining single Islander when bombshell Jacques O’Neill, 23, chose to couple up with Paige Thorne, 24.
In a post-exit chat, Afia said: ‘Obviously I’m going to miss everyone in the Villa but I’m going to keep trying to find love. I’m sure Mr Right is out there somewhere.

‘There was so much adrenaline going in – it was just so exciting when we both walked in. I really loved walking in with Ekin-Su.
‘ Initially I was attracted to Dami but then throughout the experience it was more Ikenna. I did get the vibe that things were going well for Indiyah and Ikenna quite quickly.’
The star added as to who she thought could go the distance and win the show, saying: ‘Luca and Gemma. And Amber and Dami. It’s such early days but those two felt like the most solid couples.’
Love Island continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox
