Jimmy, 46, also did not broach the scandalous subject which saw Dominic and his wife Catherine FitzGerald, 49, take part in a bizarre photocall outside their Cotswolds home last week, insisting their ‘marriage was strong.’
Lily’s interview segment opened with Jimmy asking about her quarantine project of teaching a Broadway class over Zoom.
She’s BACK! Earlier this week, Lily made her first solo TV appearance following her holiday where she addressed Mamma Mia 3! rumours during the chat and spoke about Rebecca
She said it was her first time teaching and the project consisted of Broadway and West End professionals teaching theatre classes online to students.
‘It’s great because, you know, when these performers can’t perform because of lockdown they’re getting to share their skills and people at home can be creative and learn and try and have some fun,’ Lily said.
‘I was teaching audition technique which is insane because I am terrible at auditions. I auditioned for Mamma Mia! during Glastonbury weekend. I knew I had to sing in this audition, I was desperate for this part.
‘It was due to be scheduled at the end of Glastonbury. I knew for sure that after screaming in a field for five days there was no way I would be able to sing, so I did it on the way in the car.
‘I had the car parked and filled to the brim with wellies. I went to Glasto. My phone ran out of battery
‘It wasn’t until on the way home, I plugged my phone in and my agent called me. I was like, [raspy voice]… ‘Hello!’
‘She said: ‘You got the job!’ I said ‘Please say it doesn’t start soon’.’
Fallon asked Lily: ‘The producers say it was meant to be a trilogy, so there may be a Mamma Mia! 3 in the works. Would you be interested?’
Keeping quiet: The English actress was a remote guest on the show after previously pulling out of planned appearances to promote the film
Quarantine project: Jimmy, 46, did not broach the scandalous subject and opened Lily’s interview segment by asking about her quarantine project of teaching a Broadway class over Zoom
‘Yes, I would do 4,5,6,7,8,9,10,’ she replied. ‘I’m down. Signed, sealed, delivered, I’m theirs.’
Lily also plugged her new movie Rebecca and particularly praised her co-star Kristin Scott Thomas, 60, for her work in the movie.
‘She’s just chilling and wonderful in every way,’ Lily said.
Lily’s appearance comes after she pulled out of a press junket with just 45 minutes and no explanation the day after she was pictured with Dominic.
Audition technique: Lily said she was teaching ‘audition technique’ and shared her audition story for the sequel Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again
Sequels volunteer: ‘Yeah, I’d want to do like 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. I’m down. I’m like signed, sealed and delivered like that,’ Lily said when asked if she’d be interested in a Mamma Mia 3
Lily caused shockwaves around the globe when she was seen getting close with married Dominic on October 11, before he insisted all was well in his marriage.
Judi James, body language expert said…
Judi told MailOnline: ‘Lily James looked ‘about as comfortable as a trainee tightrope walker’.
‘She began with an air of modest sweetness that included a head-tilt, downward glances and a tentative smile that was pulled down at the corners and which didn’t quite make it as far as her eyes.
‘Waiting for her first question, that head-tilt increased, suggesting vulnerability, and she performed a lip-bite and small tongue-poke to hint at some anxiety.
‘Lily’s hand gestures were often limp and with the wrists bent. When she mentioned trying to ‘have some fun’ her mouth pulled up at one side in what looked like a grimace’
Lily and Dominic both star in an upcoming BBC series together and they recently enjoyed a two-day vacation where they were seen riding on a scooter.
Dominic appeared at one point to lean over and kiss Lily’s neck and they reportedly put on a cosy display during their British Airways flight home.
The day after Lily and Dominic’s cosy pictures emerged, the actress pulled out of the interview, with a source telling Page Six: ‘It was a two-day junket.
‘On the first day, Lily was joined by the producers who it seemed were there to protect her from anyone asking questions about the photos.
‘The next day, when members of the HFPA and others were due to talk to her, she pulled out at the 11th hour. There was no explanation.’
Lily’s last minute decision to pull out sparked a wave of cancellations, as she then scrapped planned appearances on Friday’s instalment of The Graham Norton Show and Monday’s Today show in America.
A press release sent out by The Graham Norton Show’s representatives stated that Lily’s Rebecca co-star Kristin Scott Thomas will feature instead, confirming:
‘Lily James will appear on the show at a later date.’
Lily was set to appear on NBC’s Today show to promote her new Netflix drama Rebecca alongside her co-star Armie on Monday.
Netflix movie: Lily, shown in a still from the Netflix film Rebecca with Armie, particularly praised her co-star Kristin Scott Thomas, 60, for her work in the movie

She has since appeared on a BBC podcast giving a playful interview with her Rebecca co-star Armie Hammer, yet although it was released on Monday, it is not known exactly when it was filmed.

A source told MailOnline Dominic and Lily spent two nights in a suite at the top Hotel De La Ville with a panoramic view over the city and just at two minutes walk from the Spanish steps.
They only left the hotel for a few hours riding an electric scooter around the Spanish Steps and Piazza di Pietra. While for lunch they joined their friend and mutual manager Angharad Wood at a downtown restaurant.
At the end of lunch Lily sat next to Dominic couldn’t resist nuzzling her neck and stroking her.
