Furious Lily Allen hits back at ‘mansplaining’ fan who criticises her ‘overdone’ Thanksgiving turkey

Lily Allen hit back at a ‘mansplaining’ fan who critiqued her Thanksgiving cooking on Friday, branding her turkey ‘overdone’.

The British singer, 38, who has embraced the holiday since tying the knot with American actor David Harbour, 48, was quick to put the follower in his place as she branded her bird ‘perfect’. 

Taking to Instagram Lily shared a snap of herself beaming next to the freshly cooked poultry before serving it to her family. 

With one fan dismissing her efforts efforts saying: ‘Nice job. You should try using a thermometer and pull it out at 165F. Looks a tad overdone’. 

Only for Lily to snap back: ‘I did and it was 165 [degrees fahrenheit]  it was perfect, thank you’.

Other followers leapt to Lily’s defence and branded her critic ‘mansplaining’ – which is the explanation of something by a man to a woman typically in a condensing or patronising manner. 

With one writing:  ‘You got mansplained on your already perfect turkey’.

With a second telling the critic: ‘No one wants your opinion’.

And a third quipped: ‘Ok Gordon Ramsey over here’.   

 It comes after Lily shocked fans with a dramatic hair transformation as she ditched her new Pixie cut – for a new look which has been inspired by a Disney movie.

The singer-turned-West-End-star looked flawless as she took a selfie on the subway wearing a long red wig, which made her look like Ariel the Little Mermaid.

The wig came complete with a side fringe and Lily was sporting flawless skin as she posed for her picture. 

She accessorised the ‘do with a knitted black beany, matching red lip gloss and a tailored jacket.

Sharing the stunning picture to her 1.6million followers, Lily captioned the post with a mermaid emoji.

Her fans flooded the comments as they told the Smile singer that her new hair looked ‘stunning’ and many claimed it was the ‘perfect’ look.

It comes just days after Lily debuted a striking new look as she stepped out for the first time since her husband David spoke out on their marriage. 

She said their relationship is ‘so great’ after speculation over their romance when eagle-eyed fans noticed Lily was no longer following David on Instagram. 

Lily spoke about her life in New York with her husband David, in an interview with Grazia magazine as she posed on the font cover.

But talking fondly about her time in the US, she told how her actor husband now receives more ‘attention’ from fans than her.

She explained that fans often approach David and ask for a selfie, while she typically ends up being the photographer.

Lily said laughing: ‘To clarify, what they mean is: can you take a picture of me – with your husband? ‘They don’t even notice me. I’m just the photographer.
