Kim Kardashian 'wants healthy co-parenting relationship' with Kanye

Kim Kardashian ‘wants a healthy co-parenting relationship’ with Kanye West as he continues social media attacks on her boyfriend Pete Davidson

Kim Kardashian is still focused on amicably co-parenting her four children with estranged husband Kanye West despite the rapper’s recent social media tirades causing her ’emotional distress.’

A source close to the star told DailyMail.com on Thursday: ‘Her ultimate wish at the end of the day is to have a healthy co-parenting relationship with Kanye and she will continue to make every effort to move things in that direction.’

Kim, 41, filed for divorce from Kanye, 44, after nearly seven years of marriage last February. They share daughters North, eight, Chicago, four, and sons Saint, six, and Psalm, two.

The insider noted that Kim is ‘concerned’ about Kanye continuing to air their private matters on Instagram, where he launched another attack on her boyfriend Pete Davidson on Thursday.

‘Kim is concerned about how public everything has been with his social posts and how this will ultimately affect the kids one day when they grow up and might see all of this,’ the insider explained.

‘At the end of the day, no matter how challenging things are between them she always wants the kids to view Kanye in the best light and have the best relationship with him. She was incredibly close to her father growing up and only wants that for her own kids.’

As for herself, Kim is coping with the stress caused by her divorce by immersing herself in work and family.

‘She is trying their best to stay strong, calm and positive, focusing on her kids and staying busy with her work. She has an incredible support system of family and a small circle of friends around her,’ another source close to Kim tells DailyMail.com.

Ruth Glenn, who is the CEO of the National Coalition on Domestic Abuse, recently discussed Kanye’s treatment of Kim and how it shouldn’t be seen as a form of ‘entertainment’ for the masses.

‘Other people’s pain, and discomfort, and fear is not entertainment. Other people’s desire to maintain control and particularly people in power, such as [Kanye West] is not entertainment,’ Glenn explained in a video for NowThis News.

‘What we’re seeing on this very public scale and viewing as entertainment is happening in homes across America as you and I are speaking. It’s just being done differently.’

Glenn also touched on Kanye using the excuse of ‘fighting for your family’ as a way to justify the lengths he’s gone to to achieve ‘control’ over the divorce proceedings.

‘Fighting for your family [actually] means that you don’t gaslight, you don’t go public, you don’t harass, you don’t stock, you don’t threaten. Fighting for your family means you are quietly and systematically and appropriately attempting to do all that you can for your children,’ she explained.

Kim recently filed new legal documents informing a judge of her strong ‘desire to be divorced.’

In new documents obtained by TMZ, Kim stated, ‘I very much desire to be divorced.

She told a judge she had requested Kanye keep their separation private ‘but he has not done so’.

‘Kanye has been putting a lot of misinformation regarding our private matters and co-parenting on social media which has created emotional distress,’ she says in the new documents.

The drama between Kardashian and West has been playing out publicly on social media in recent weeks, where the rapper has been posting screenshots of text messages sent to him from his ex and gone to war with her new boyfriend Pete Davidson.

Jibes: Kanye West attacks Kim Kardashian’s boyfriend Pete Davidson AGAIN despite her revealing she’s suffering ’emotional distress’ from the rapper’s social media antics

On Thursday, the rapper attacked Davidson on social media once again despite her pleas that she’s suffering ’emotional distress’ from the rapper’s jibes.

He taunted the SNL comedian by suggesting he had driven him off Instagram, after the 28-year-old deleted his account the day before.

‘Ran Skete off the gram,’ Kanye wrote, adding: ‘Tell your mother I changed your name for life.’

Kanye continually refers to Pete as ‘Skete’ as a disparaging nickname, though the meaning of moniker remains unclear.

Pete rejoined Instagram earlier this month, and fans quickly noticed that Kanye wasted no time in following the comedian.

Stepping out: Kim Kardashian put on a brave face after she begged a judge to declare her single and revealed she had been suffering from ’emotional distress’ as a result of Kanye West’s social media antics

Kanye previously used Instagram to claim that Kim was putting their daughter North West on TikTok ‘against his will’, accused her of ‘kidnapping’ their eight-year-old, and claimed she had accused him of ‘putting a hit out on her’.

Kanye has also asked to keep Kim from transferring assets out of any trust – a request Kim has fired back at due to their existing prenup, which already keeps their trusts and assets separate.

In order to continue running her businesses, Kim needs to access her trust.

Kanye’s lawyers have also recognized the validity of the prenup in the documents.

Kim also said Kanye’s attorneys have admitted to struggling to get through to him.

Kanye’s lawyers wrote to Kim’s attorney in October 2021 as they attempted to explain the prenup to the rapper and admitted to having ‘challenges’ communicating with him.

Doubling down: Kim also doubled down on her request to be declared legally single, writing, ‘While I wish our marriage would have succeeded, I have come to the realization that there is no way to repair our marriage. Kanye does not agree but at least it appears that he has come to the realization that I want to end our marriage, even if he does not’; Kim and Kanye pictured in 2020

‘But as you also know, we face challenges in communicating with our client – and the validity of the prenup (with all of its related legal implications) is a heavy issue to broach,’ they wrote.

Kanye does not agree but at least it appears that he has come to the realization that I want to end our marriage, even if he does not.’

‘I can begin the healing process and so that our family can begin the healing process and move forward in this new chapter in our lives,’ she adds of needing to be single.

The documents also described the efforts the exes took during their marriage to keep their finances separate.

‘They are both independently wealthy. They kept their finances separate. They did not jointly acquire any assets during marriage,’ the documents read, according to Us Weekly.

Feud: Kim’s new boyfriend Pete Davidson has come under social media attack by Kanye as of late

‘They filed separate income tax returns during marriage. They each had separate business managers, tax preparers, estate attorneys, and business attorneys. The parties already negotiated and agreed upon the character of assets and debts acquired during marriage, agreeing to keep their finances and estates separate, when they entered into their Prenuptial Agreement in May 2014.’

The documents state Kim is seeking ‘relief’ from Kanye’s ‘bitterness and happiness’, and suggests his ‘opposition to Ms. Kardashian’s request to be restored to the status of a single person has little, if anything, to do with the propriety or sufficiency of the approved conditions and everything to do with the fact that he does not want their marriage to end.’

Her legal team also indicated West intended ‘to prevent or make it difficult for Ms. Kardashian to remarry’ in the future, and branded his request for her to ‘waive all marital privileges should she remarry’ unprecedented, according to Us.

The new development comes a week after Kanye filed court documents opposing Kim’s request to be declared legally single.
