Kim Kardashian flies people in from Europe to repair her floors

Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West fly repair people in from Europe to fix the scuffed floors in their $60 million LA mansion

It was just three years ago when Kanye West begged Mark Zuckerberg to invest $1 billion in his ‘ideas’ while claiming to be $53 million in debt.

But now, after a successful business move with his Yeezy sneaker line, West, 42, has money to blow.

Forbes recently reported that he and his wife, Kim Kardashian West, 38, have to fly people in from Europe to repair the Belgian flooring in their $60 million mansion.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and her rapper husband weren’t afraid to splash the cash when they were renovating their $60 million mansion in Los Angeles, California, but their expensive taste has created work for them as they have to fly a special company to the US to smooth out any scuffs the flooring may get.

‘The floors are made of a special Belgian plaster; if scuffed, the delicate material can be repaired only by a crew flown in from Europe,’ Zack O’Malley Greenburg wrote in a recent Forbes article.

But Kardashian West neither takes the credit nor the blame for the house’s design.

‘The house was all him,’ she told Forbes. ‘I’ve never seen anyone that pays such attention to detail.’

Don’t blame me: ‘The house was all him,’ she told Forbes. ‘I’ve never seen anyone that pays such attention to detail’

Back in April, Kardashian West gave a tour of the house to Vogue during a video interview.

When asked how she would describe the house she said, ‘I would say [it’s] like a minimal monastery.’

And as for the home’s inspiration? That was all interior designer Axel Vervoordt and Kanye West, Kardashain West said.

While West’s attention to detail is evident in the home’s design, it doesn’t end there.

Attention to detail: Forbes’ O’Malley Greenburg detailed his excursion to the mansion in his article, writing that a handler gave him ‘little cloth booties,’ to put over his shoes

Taking care: They may have the ability to fly in special European floor repair people, but it appears they’d rather not

Precaution is taken with the home’s use, as well.

The couple purchased their Hidden Hills mansion for $20 million back in 2014, but after renovations, the house is now apparently worth $40 million more — according to a tweet by Kris Jenner.

Unfortunately for the couple, West lost the $600,000 down payment he made on the property when he reserved it as a Christmas gift for Kardashian.

The condo was situated just a few steps away from the beach within a building that has been dubbed ‘Billionaire Beach Bunker’.

The reality TV star and the Bound 2 hitmaker are now looking into property in the Bahamas or other tropical destinations that their family can enjoy.

The couple have four children; North, 6, Saint, 3, Chicago, 17 months, and 1-month-old son Psalm.
