K-pop group BTS pave way to global stardom on Britain’s Got Talent live show

It’s easy to see how the group earned their reputation as the Princes of Pop after their appearance on Britain’s Got Talent this week.

BTS sent their fans wild when they took to the stage on Thursday night’s show, making their BGT debut.

In their first ever live UK performance, the K-pop group sang their hit track Boy With Luv to the screaming crowds before them.

With each member wearing a pastel pink or purple suit, the boys looked as stylish as ever, moving expertly in time with the music.

After their standing ovation, they let their fans know how excited they were to be performing at Wembley stadium later in the week.

RM said: “We’re really happy to be back, it’s our first live show here in the UK. We’re really honoured to be here.”

To say a special thank you, Seokjin even gave host Declan Donnelly a red rose during the ad break.

Over on Twitter, their diehard fans, known as their “Army”, took to their keyboards to congratulate the boys on a stellar performance.

One said: “The vocals, the choreography just WOW.  They really did well.”

Another gushed: “Two years ago radio hosts claimed BTS would never be famous in the UK, but look at how our princes of pop are shining now.”

A third smitten user wrote: “Their energy as a whole was just bursting with good vibes. They were enjoying themselves so much and I’m so glad.”

And a fourth agreed: “I am so proud of you, guys!”

Their second time to make it to the UK, the Fake Luv hitmakers are touring with their brand new album Map of the Soul: Persona.

Made up of seven members, BTS first formed back in 2013 in the South Korean capital of Seoul.

Thought to be the biggest boy band in the world, BTS – or the Bangtan Boys as they are also known – are international superstars.

And, it seems they even won some new fans in the UK after their stint on Britain’s Got Talent, as unsuspecting Brits took to Twitter to let them know that they would be following their success in the future.

One new listener said: “Well one hour ago I didn’t have a clue who BTS were…now I look forward to finding out more!”

And a second agreed: “They were incredible, loved them.”
