The Chase quiz master Jenny Ryan, 38, has taken to Twitter to tell fans that signing up for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! “could be a big opportunity” for her, following the news this year’s series will be held in the UK and not in its usual location in Australia, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Jenny insisted she was reluctant to sign up for the show before its latest change, due to having a fear of spiders, snakes and Australia’s hot weather. This time around, Ant and Dec will be on hosting duties from a castle in the British countryside.

Addressing the change today, she wrote: “My main reservations about doing #ImACeleb have always been 1. The Spiders 2. The Snakes 3. The Heat, so this could be a big opportunity for ol’ Jenny.”(sic)

The Vixen star followed up her tweet, writing: “If it’s not basically a three-week long version of Most Haunted then the network is missing a trick.”

Jenny’s tweet prompted many of her 77,000 followers to share their thoughts.

One Twitter user wrote: “Go for it!! We’re all behind you personally I think it would be amazing to have you on there but it’s totally up to you of course! :).”

A second commented: “You’d be great on I’m a celeb tbh.”

“You will be great on I’m a celebrity Jenny,” a third penned.

A fourth wrote: “I never watch it. But would if you went on.”

Despite Jenny’s admission about the show, a line-up for this year’s series is yet to be revealed.

Rumoured celebrities in the mix include Beverley Callard, Lacey Turner and Matt Baker.

Another name rumoured to be signing up for the show includes Jenny’s co-star Mark Labbett.

The latter shared his thoughts on being a contestant on the show in an exclusive interview with earlier this year.

Ahead of the news about the show taking place in the UK this year, Mark said he would be worried about having a lack of food in the jungle, as he admitted he gets angry when he’s hungry.

But, The Chase star said he would be keen to lose weight on the show and be away from his usual surroundings.

“I do get really angry when I’m hungry. I try not to, but I do,” he divulged.

“So I’m thinking, is the jungle the right environment for me? But then again it might make good tele.

“I’d hate to be stuck in the jungle with me when I’m starving, other people shut down when they haven’t had enough food.

“They’ve had some heavy celebs in there and the hunger gets to them.”

Despite this, he added: “I’d like the moment I walk across then bridge four stone lighter.

“I’ve still got a fair way to go,” he divulged. “My target is about 19 stone. For anyone else that’s monstrous, but for me of course I’ll be skinny.”

Jenny and Mark’s co-star Anne Hegerty competed on the show in 2018. The series was won by Harry Redknapp.
