Pregnant Jennifer Lawrence makes red carpet debut with baby bump in stunning gold gown alongside Leonardo DiCaprio at Don’t Look Up premiere in New York

Jennifer Lawrence showcased her growing baby bump for the first time on the red carpet.

The 31-year-old star was joined by co-star Leonardo DiCaprio as they arrived for the red carpet premiere of Don’t Look Up in New York City on Sunday.

Jennifer – who is expecting her first child with art gallerist  Cooke Maroney – dazzled in a glittering floor-length fringed gold gown at the gala event held at Jazz at Lincoln Center.

Dynamic duo: The 31-year-old star was joined by co-star Leonardo DiCaprio as they arrived for the red carpet premiere of Don’t Look Up in New York City on Sunday

Don’t Look Up — which was written and directed by Adam McKay — is centered around two low-level astronomers Dr. Randall Mindy (DiCaprio) and Kate Dibiasky (Lawrence) who must go on a giant media tour to warn mankind of an approaching comet that will destroy planet Earth. 

Both stars rose to the occasion by way of their ensembles as Lawrence sheathed her bump in a glitzy gown reminiscent of old Hollywood glamour, while DiCaprio wore a fitted navy suit.   

Not seen at the event was Lawrence’s husband Cooke as they have been together since 2018 and got engaged the following year. They went on to tie the knot October 2019 with a ceremony in Rhode Island.

Leading duo: Both DiCaprio and Lawrence are at the helm of the sci-fi disaster comedy as two low-level astronomers who must go on a giant media tour to warn mankind of an approaching comet that will destroy planet Earth

Flying solo: For the star-studded premiere both Lawrence and DiCaprio were without their respective partners Maroney and Camila Morrone

Loved up: Not seen at the event was Lawrence’s husband Cooke Maroney (seen together at a New York Rangers game in November 2018) as they have been together since 2018 and got engaged the following year. They went on to tie the knot October 2019 with a ceremony in Rhode Island

In September, the Winter’s Bone star set pregnancy rumours flying when she was seen in New York in a pair of floral overalls with a noticeable baby bump, and a representative quickly confirmed that she was expecting her first child. 

Sources close to the actress revealed to People that she has wanted to start a family for a long time, and finally found the right partner to have kids with.

‘She loves married life, and they have a solid foundation for a baby. She is very happy and looking forward to being a mom,’ the source added.

While Jennifer is jumping into family life, DiCaprio has been in a steady and committed long term relationship with model Camila Morrone since 2017, though she was not by his side at the premiere. 

A source told E! News of their relationship: ‘Leo has been settling into this domestic life with Cami, as opposed to all the time he used to spend out with his boys…He does really like his life with her and they’re a lot more coupley than they used to be.’

The sci-fi disaster comedy, Don’t Look Up, features a stacked cast that includes: Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Cate Blanchett, Kid Cudi, Tyler Perry, Ariana Grande, Timothee Chalamet, Chris Evans and Matthew Perry — to name a few.

Debut: Jonah Hill went red carpet official with his girlfriend Sarah Brady as they both donned matching powder blue suits with shimmering turquoise slides

A perfect match! The loved up duo went public with their relationship on Instagram in September


Ensemble cast: The film also includes Kid Cudi, Tyler Perry, Cate Blanchett, Ariana Grande and Timothee Chalamet to name a few  

Streep who plays the the President of the United States in the film was seen in an edgy outfit that included a black sheer dress with discs and tights with a turtleneck at the premiere. 

And Hill went red carpet official with his girlfriend Sarah Brady as they both donned matching powder blue suits with shimmering turquoise slides. 

In the film he portrays the son of Streep’s character Janie and the White House Chief Of Staff.


Wild thing! Florence Pugh showed off a much edgier look and dark hair as she walked the carpet in a sweeping zebra duster with black hot pants and a crop top 

The science guy! In fitting fashion based on the movie’s plot, Bill Nye the Science Guy was also in attendance 


Ladies fashion: The star-studded carpet was full of lots of different fashions statements as Rebecca Dayan (left) wore a midriff baring sweater dress while Ella Hunt (right) dazzled in a disco mini dress 

Coupled up: Danica Patrick attended the premiere with her boyfriend of less than a year Carter Comstock


Chic in black: While Danica (left) opted for a glittery mini dress with cutouts, Kathryn Gallagher (right) wore a velvet gown

Arm candy: Actor Ron Perlman attended with his partner Allison Dunbar

Also in attendance at the premiere was Tyler Perry who plays a news reporter as well as Kid Cudi who plays a musical performer DJ Chello (Cudi). 

In the film Perry’s co-anchor is Cate Blanchett, while Ariana Grande is Cudi’s counterpart as musician Riley Bina, though neither ladies were pictured at the premiere.  

Cudi and Grande also helped to write and perform a song for the film titled Just Look Up.  

Additional ensemble cast members present included actor Ron Perlman with his partner Allison Dunbar, Himesh Patel, and Tomer Sisley.

The principle cast of Lawrence, DiCaprio, Streep and Hill were seen posing for several group photos with director Adam McKay before the ensemble players also joined in. 

Don’t Look Up is set for a limited theatrical release on December 10 and will be released on Netflix on December 24. 

The movie began filming in November 2020 in the Boston, Massachusetts area and wrapped in February 2021. 

Arriving in style: The Wolf Of Wall Street star caused a commotion as he strolled up to the premiere 

Good sport: Leonardo delighted fans by signing a few autographs as they snapped photos of him while awaiting his arrival in chilly New York City
