EXCLUSIVE: Ioan Gruffudd’s daughter Ella, 13, says she is ‘afraid’ of him and demands he undergo ‘batterer intervention program’ as part of domestic violence restraining order after bust-up over his new girlfriend following split from Alice Evans

  • Alice Evans’s daughter Ella requested restraining orders against her father, 49, and his girlfriend Bianca Wallace, 29, following an incident at their home in May
  • In publicly-available legal documents seen by DailyMail.com, the teenager asks that Ioan be made to undergo a year-long batterer intervention program
  • She also alleges that her father has called her ‘a gaslighter’, ‘a brat’, ‘a liar’ and a ‘narcissist’ any time ‘she mentions her feelings or opinions’ to him

Actor Ioan Gruffudd’s 13-year-old daughter Ella has asked that her father be forced to undergo a ‘batterer intervention program to stop abuse’ as she filed for a domestic violence restraining order again him following an ugly row over his new girlfriend Bianca Wallace.

In publicly-available legal documents seen by DailyMail.com, the teenager, whose mother is actress Alice Evans, states that she is ‘afraid’ of her father and accuses him of ‘threatening to call the police on her anytime she misbehaves’ during their visitations.

Ella filed for a domestic violence restraining order against her father on May 31 – the same day that she requested a temporary restraining order against his girlfriend – following what she says was an ugly incident at their home, during which she claims Bianca ‘slammed a door on her head’.

In her filing against her father, Ella requests that he be made to keep at least 100 yards away from her and not contact her for five years and asks that Ioan be ordered to undergo a ’52-week batterer intervention program’.

The program, which involves weekly classes, is intended – the document states – to ‘stop abuse, teach accountability, abuse effects, and gender roles’.

Ioan Gruffudd’s 13-year-old daughter Ella Evans (seen left with her younger sister Elsie and their father) has filed for a domestic abuse restraining order against him

In her filing, Ella requests that a court order her father to undergo a ‘batterer intervention program’, the goal of which is to ‘stop abuse’

The restraining order has not yet been granted and will be put before a court later this month.

Ella requests that the restraining order also cover her nine-year-old sister Elsie, noting that she ‘lives with her sister and is afraid that [Ioan] will abuse and/or continue to allow abuse to happen to my sister too’.

She also asks that her father be made to pay ‘for some or all of her lawyer’s fees and costs’ and requests that her phone account and that of her sister Elsie’s be transferred to their mother, alleging that Ioan has ‘threatened to cancel my sister’s phone account and my phone account’.

Along with her domestic restraining order filing, Ella included a declaration as evidence to support her case, in which she shared her recollection of a bitter spat that she claims took place while she and her nine-year-old sister Elsie were visiting their father’s home on May 26.

The declaration is very similar to that included in her request for a restraining order against her father’s girlfriend, Bianca, with the teen claiming that she got into a furious row with the couple over the actress’s presence during an overnight visitation.

Ella admits that she was ‘so mad’ at her father to find that Bianca was at his apartment when she arrived that she began throwing food on his bed, on the floor, and on him, before she attempted to flee the apartment – which, she says, is when the actress ‘slammed a door on her head’, leaving her with ‘a small bump’ and a ‘bruise on her arm’.

She included images of the bruising as additional evidence.

However, in her restraining order filing against Ioan – who is currently involved in an ugly custody battle with Alice, 54, over their two children – Ella adds further detail, alleging that she had a ‘panic attack’ before she arrived at the property.

Ella has also filed for a temporary restraining order against 49-year-old Ioan’s actress girlfriend Bianca Wallace, 29, alleging that she ‘slammed a door on her head’

Ioan and his ex-wife Alice Evans (pictured with Ella and her sister Elsie) are currently in the midst of an ugly custody battle following their split in 2021

According to Ella, when her father picked her up from the West Hollywood Police Station to start her overnight visit, he was accompanied ‘by a psychologist friend’ who she says was a man aged between 70 and 80, whom she had never met before.

She says they then drove from the police station to her sibling’s school to pick her up, before taking Elsie to a dance class.

‘Elsie had forgotten her leotard, so suggested multiple times that we could go back to our apartment which was 10-minute drive away, since the dance class was still an hour away,’ she states.

‘The Respondent [Ioan] refused and drove us to The Grove [shopping mall]. The Respondent insisted we get new leotard.

‘I was overwhelmed by the number of people at The Grove, so went back into the car. I told him to please leave me in the car and he could go get Elsie leotard.

‘The Respondent told me that he couldn’t leave me alone in the car, so I would have to stay with his psychologist friend in the car. I had never met this man before, and he is approximately late 70 to 80 year old. I texted my mother because I started to have panic attack.’

She states that she then called her mother and began ‘bawling’ while in the midst of a ‘full-blown panic attack’.

When her father returned to the car with Elsie, she says that he told her repeatedly to ‘calm down, calm down’.

After they arrived at Elsie’s dance class, Ella says her sister then proceeded to have a ‘panic attack in the bathroom’, prompting them to return to Ioan and Bianca’s home – with the ‘psychologist friend’ in tow.

‘I was so mad at my dad because this was an overnight visit, and I had told him in the past that I didn’t want to meet his girlfriend who was now his live-in girlfriend,’ she says.

In her publicly-available filing, Ella shares an account of an ugly domestic incident that she says took place at her father’s home on May 26

‘Rather than listen to my wishes, my dad had the court order the overnights while his girlfriend was living with him. I was so upset that I threw milk on his bed, I poured mustard on the floor, and I threw raw oatmeal on him.’

At this point, Ella says that her father and Bianca began calling her ‘manipulative, abusive, and narcissistic’ – resulting in her deciding that she ‘couldn’t be in that apartment anymore’.

As she attempted to leave the property however, she says that Bianca ‘tried to block her’ by ‘raising her arms’, and then ‘slammed the door on her… hitting her on the head as well as her arm’.

She states that her nine-year-old sister ‘was right behind her when this happened’.

According to Ella, she and Elsie were able to make her way out of the apartment and they ‘ran outside’ while their father chased after them.

‘The Respondent told me to come back, and told him, “Your girlfriend slammed door on me!” And the Respondent kept saying, “No she didn’t, no she didn’t, stop lying,”‘ she recalls.

The teenager states that she phoned her nanny, Gloria Flores, who made arrangements for the father of one of Elsie’s friends – a man named Dennis Hauk – to pick them up and take them back to their mother’s house, noting that this ‘ended the incident’.

She notes that both her nanny and Mr. Faulk have agreed to testify in her case against her father and his girlfriend.

Ella also adds into her declaration in this filing notes on the ‘history of abuse’, stating that her father has ‘called her a liar and a gaslighter’ on any occasion when she ‘mentions her feelings or opinions’ to him.

She alleges that he has ‘threatened to call the police on her anytime she misbehaves during his visitation time in the past two years’.

The teen concludes the declaration by stating: ‘I am afraid of the Respondent for my personal safety, and respectfully ask the Court to issue a Restraining Order for five years.’

Ella’s account of the shocking incident marks the latest dramatic development in a bitter domestic drama that began in 2021, when Ioan walked out on his then-wife Alice after a 14-year marriage.

Ioan, the British star of The Fantastic Four, and Alice, who is best known for her appearance in 102 Dalmatians, have been fighting a bitter divorce battle ever since.

The actor has already obtained a restraining order against his estranged wife, which prevents her from mentioning him on social media for three years.

Both Ioan and Alice are seeking custody of their daughters, and both claim that they have no money.

Last month the former couple’s $2million marital home in Los Angeles was sold at Ioan’s request after he said he no longer had the funds to pay for it, forcing Alice and their two daughters to move into a rental property in LA.

Ioan met aspiring actress Bianca in Australia while he was shooting the series Harrow, and she recently moved into his Los Angeles apartment.

He and Alice announced that their marriage had ended in January 2021 and he went public with his romance with Bianca in October of that year.

Ioan filed for joint custody of his daughters last July after Alice filed for sole custody.

As well as requesting visitation rights, Ioan claimed in his custody filing that Alice had been purposely trying to cut communication between him and his children.

He also petitioned for the girls to attend in-person therapy and reunification therapy via Zoom with him pending court-ordered mediation about custody.

Ioan accused Alice of verbally abusing him during their marriage, and of repeatedly ‘undermining him’ in front of the girls.

‘Alice made fun of my appearance often, making hair-loss comments and telling me I had ”saggy-vagina eyes,”’ court papers read.

He went on to claim that Alice ‘has inflicted serious emotional harm on Ella and Elsie by her statements and by interfering in my relationship with them’.

In March this year, charges that Alice had violated her restricting order were dropped.

DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for Ioan, Alice, and Bianca for comment.
