Family’s Quarantine-Themed ‘Les Miserables’ Song Goes Viral (Video)

This UK family has found internet fame with their lockdown-themed version of “One Day More” from the musical Les Miserables!

The Marsh family is currently social distancing at their home in Kent – and the struggles they sing about are all too relatable.

The family performed the song in a Facebook video shared by dad Ben Marsh. It also features his wife Danielle and their three children, Alfie, 13, Thomas 12, Ella, 10 and Tess, 8 (via Metro.co.uk).

After a brief family argument, they go on to sing about address online shopping, ordering food, trying to contact their grandparents via Skype, whether or not to change their clothes, online schooling, and more serious issues concerning the ongoing health crisis.

The family was interviewed on BBC Breakfast on Tuesday (March 31).

“The nice thing about changing the words is that they can all sing about stuff that they like,” Ben said. “Football and all sorts of other stuff, school, grandparents which is a massive issue for everyone, being able to communicate online.”

“We’ve had these incredible messages that social media couldn’t keep up with from people coming off night shifts, ICU nurses, and it’s just absolutely lovely to see that positivity,” he added.
