Ed Sheeran and his wife Cherry Seaborn cut a very understated figure as they joined the Beckhams and Ellie Goulding in the Royal Box  during the England vs Germany Euro 2020 match.

The singer, 30, and his wife, 29, sported vintage England shirts for the occasion and Cherry wore jeans while mixing with some of the Royal family, including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their eldest son, George, seven. 

Ed could be seen sharing a joke with David, 46, who was smartly dressed in a dark grey suit, with a shirt and tie for the Last 16 fixture.

Ed, who sported a white T-shirt and a blue bomber jacket, and Cherry appeared emersed in the game as they sat beside David.

The retired footballer attended the International match with his son Romeo, 18, who also attended Wimbledon on Monday. 

Romeo looked dapper in a similar suit to his famous dad, after the duo attended an earlier match together last week.

The group were sat metres away from the Royal family, who were given front row seats in the box.

Ellie Goulding enjoyed a day out with her husband Caspar Jopling as the pair were seen outside Wembley Stadium together ahead of the match. 

The singer, 34, cut a stylish figure for the outing, donning a red long-sleeved dress which featured a baby pink print and a matching waistband.

She teamed the statement garment with a white top and black trousers, while sporting eye-catching pearl drop earrings. The mother-of-three finished her fashionable look with a smattering of glamorous makeup and kept her hair in bouncy curled locks.

George stood between his parents William and Kate as they sang the national anthem ahead of kick-off.

Dressed in a smart suit and sporting a striped tie similar to his father’s, with his hair neatly parted at one side, it was a big moment for the young royal who only steps into the spotlight with his parents on select occasions.

George, who is a football fan like his father, was the only one of the three Cambridge children to come to the game, with his sister Princess Charlotte, six, and brother Prince Louis, three, staying at home.

The young prince amused fans when he mumbled shyly while the stadium joined together with the players to sing God Save the Queen, as some pointed out the song was about his great-grandmother.

TOWIE star Kelsey Stratford was also spotted heading to a friend’s garden party to watch the highly anticipated match.

Elsewhere, TV personality Lizzie left little to the imagination as she slipped into an England shirt and little else bar her ‘lucky pants’ as she prepared to watch the match.

The star showed off her toned, tanned legs as she stretched them out before in the sizzling snap.

Captioning her post, she penned: ‘The shirt and my lucky pants are on !! Come on England !! We can do this ! Positive thinking everyone !! My score is Eng 2- Ger 0 . What’s your prediction? #england.’

Elsewhere, comedian Rob Beckett could barely contain his excitement as he and pal Lloyd Griffith arrive at Wembley stadium to show their support.

Meanwhile, football legend Paul Gascoigne appeared excited as he posed alongside step-daughter Bianca in a sweet snap. 

Around 45,000 fans were allowed into the stadium to watch Gareth Southgate’s squad defeat the Germans and earn their place in the quarter-finals. 

Millions more were expected to head to their local – with some even hitting the boozers from as early as 7am on Tuesday.

Both Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Sir Keir Starmer urged employers to authorise an early finish for workers ahead of the blockbuster and scores of people have taken to social media to express their joy at the swift getaway.
