Eamonn Holmes, 61, has shared what initially prompted his long battle with chronic pain after opening up on the condition on This Morning. The star, who is married to ITV co-host Ruth Langsford, explained his symptoms were sparked when he “mysteriously” dislocated his pelvis, which then prompted his back problems.
Although Eamonn has not yet detailed the results of his MRI scan that he had in hospital last week, he has now given fans more of an insight into his health issues.
He quipped: “I mysteriously dislocated my pelvis and I don’t know how — it’s not as erotic as it sounds.
“My back is now out of alignment as a result.”
Eamonn has been having physiotherapy sessions and ice cold showers to help ease his agony.

However, the star admitted his chronic pain still “hurts like hell”.
He added to The Irish Independent: “Nobody knows what it’s like unless they live with someone who has it.
“I’m in huge pain and nobody knows how to stop it.
“This hurts like hell and I need to find a way to overcome it.
“It has lasted a month and it feels like I can’t remember what life was like without the pain.”
The presenter has been open with his fans about dealing with chronic pain over the last few weeks and revealed how it has been impacting his sleep pattern last night.
Posting in the early hours of the morning, he described how he was unable to sleep as he tried to avoid taking pain medication.

Eamonn first updated fans about his health battle last week before he went to hospital to attempt to work out what was wrong.
Yesterday, the journalist spoke out on his Twitter page as he thanked fans for their good wishes over the news he is to become a grandfather.
He wrote: “I have been very bad at answering and acknowledging so many ‘Grandpa’ good wishes today.
“Please forgive and understand how draining and debilitating this Back pain I’m suffering is.
“I’m drained. Had steroid injections today which will Hopefully turn the tide. #ChronicPain.”
