Derek Jeter on raising a family in Miami

Derek Jeter is adjusting to family life in his new home base.

The former Yankee, who recently moved from New York to Miami when he became part owner and CEO of the Miami Marlins, opened up about how he and wife, Hannah Jeter, are raising their two daughters in their new home.

“Raising a family in Miami is definitely different than in New York,” Jeter told People at his Haute Living cover launch party at the newly opened Mr. Coconut Grove hotel. “It’s nice because we’re now in our own home and it makes it easy to move around, play in the yard, enjoy the outdoors, etc.”

Derek, 44, and Hannah, 28, welcomed their second daughter, Story Grey, in January, and also share 1-year-old daughter, Bella Raine. The couple married in 2016.

“We’re enjoying life and raising our family here,” he said. “My oldest daughter is heading into school somewhat soon, so we’ve begun the process of looking at schools.”

At the bash, the MLB star was spotted chatting with guests and enjoyed small bites and Bellini cocktails, an insider told Page Six.

We hear that while Hannah was not in attendance, former “Real Housewives of Miami” star, Lisa Hochstein was seen making the rounds.
