She’s carved out a glittering music career spanning almost 70 years, releasing huge hits including Goldfinger and Diamonds are Forever. 

And Dame Shirley Bassey continued to dazzle as she put on an effortlessly chic display while attending the Red Cross Summer concert in Monte Carlo, Monaco on Friday.

The legendary singer, 84, looked smart in a sleek black trouser suit and an embellished white top as she posed on the red carpet at the event.

Shirley appeared in great spirits as she flashed a dazzling smile while posing in her black blazer and wide-leg trousers.

The Welsh beauty teamed her look with sparkly black heels and a matching handbag, while she added a further touch of bling with a diamond necklace and stud earrings. 

The star was in great company at the annual charity event as it was also attended by Prince Albert II of Monaco and Princess Caroline of Hanover.

In November, Shirley released her first album in five years, I Owe It All To You, which has been dubbed her grand finale.

Shirley said that the album is ‘a celebration of 70 years in showbiz, 70 years of support from my fans, and 70 years of music’, and will include songs that are ‘very personal’ to her. 

She started singing as a teenager in her native Wales, performing in clubs and working in a factory before becoming the first Welsh singer to have a number one single in 1959 with As I Love You from the album The Bewitching Miss Bassey.

Strike a pose: The masks were removed as they all posed for snaps, while showing off their glamorous ensembles

During her stellar career, she has sold nearly 140million records and provided the theme songs for three James Bond films: Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever, and Moonraker. She was made a dame in 2000.

Dame Shirley said: ‘My new album is a celebration of 70 years in showbiz – 70 years of support from my fans and 70 years of music!

‘I’ve trodden the boards of many stages and kicked up many a diamante heel!

‘The songs I have chosen all feel very personal and connected to my life. I hope they will do the same for my fans.’
