Coronation Street’s Mikey North and pregnant wife Rachael Isherwood reveal gender of baby and details on the name ahead of birth of second child – EXCLUSIVE

Coronation Street star Mikey North and wife Rachael Isherwood have opened up about the impending birth of their second child and spilled details on the name they have chosen and the sex of the baby.

Gary Windass actor Mikey and his wife Rachael are already parents to son, two year old Archie, and revealed the youngster helped pick the name for his baby sister.

Speaking exclusively to OK! magazine , the pair said: “We’ve just moved house and put the name on the wallpaper that Rachael has chosen.

“Archie wouldn’t let us call her anything else anyway, so he partly chose the name, but we’re keeping it a secret.”

On the topic of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle choosing the name Archie for their son, Rachael said: "They’ve got great taste!"

Mikey added: "When Archie was a little bit younger, whenever Prince Harry came on the TV, he always said: ’There’s Daddy!’"


The pair suffered a stressful birth with their first child, Archie and so, are adamant they won’t be adding to their brood following the birth of their baby girl.

When asked if they think they will have any more children, they both replied: “Absolutely not!”

Mikey said: “I would be highly surprised if we had any more. Two is a great number.”


Mikey revealed that he has learned a lot from Archie’s birth and the couple have decided that this time around they will not have a birthing plan.

Mikey said: “I remember Rach insisting: ‘I’m not having any pain relief,’ and then about six hours in, she’s like: ‘Give me everything!'” .
