Claire Danes, 43, and husband Hugh Dancy, 47, are expecting their THIRD child together after 14 years of marriage

  • The stars are parents to two sons : Cyrus, 10, and four-year-old Rowan

Claire Danes and her husband, Hugh Dancy, are expecting to welcome baby number three into their growing family, a representative confirmed to People.

The Homeland actress, 43, and the British-born actor, 47, currently are parents to two sons: Cyrus, 10, and four-year-old Rowan.

The two lovebirds, who first met in 2006 while on set of Evening, officially tied the knot in 2009 after becoming engaged earlier that same year.

The happy pair have yet to announce to their excited fans whether they are expecting another boy or a girl.

Claire previously opened up to People about motherhood after welcoming her first son in 2012, followed by her youngest in 2018. 

The Emmy award-winning star had gushed to the publication while her son, Cyrus, was on set of Homeland with her, ‘Motherhood is amazing.’ 

The talented beauty humorously added, ‘He’s a real set baby. It’s really sweet. He loves the [show’s operations room] because of all the lights. It’s a great environment for a kid. It’s the circus!’

Before the baby announcement, Claire recently received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the series titled, Fleishman Is In Trouble.

The premise of the mini-series follows the character of Toby Fleishman as he juggles both his career and parenthood after his ex-wife disappears. The FX on Hulu show was created by Taffy Brodesser-Akner, and is based on her own 2019 novel of the same name.  

With both Claire and Hugh being successful actors, The Essex Serpent star discussed the difficulties of being apart from her family when filming projects. 

‘That distance is corrosive, and I’m just bad at it. And I don’t particularly want to get good at it,’ labeling the distance as ‘tough,’ when talking to Net-A-Porter Magazine. 

The Romeo And Juliet actress added, ‘We learned along the way how essential it is for us to be physically together as often as possible.’ 

Her husband, Hugh, has also recently been wrapped up in projects of his own, and recently starred in the 2022 film, Downton Abbey: A New Era, and was cast as Senior Assistant District Attorney Nolan Price in the NBC revival, Law & Order.

Claire and Hugh, who currently reside in New York City, first met in 2006 while filming Evening, and sparks flew between the talented actors.

After becoming engaged in 2009, the happy pair said ‘I do’ later that same year in September during a romantic ceremony in France. 

A few years after tying the knot, The Family Stone actress opened up about marriage to Hugh during an interview with The Sun. 

‘I like marriage. I feel very secure. It helps when you are in love with the person you are married to. I do sometimes look at him and think, ‘You are really handsome.’ He keeps me sane and happy,’ she stated. 

Last year in May, the Hannibal alum had recalled a funny memory between himself and Claire when they had first begun dating when talking to W Magazine.

Hugh explained to the publication that she had convinced him to watch a true crime documentary titled, The Staircase. 

‘When I first met my wife and we just literally just got together, she basically said, look, if we’re going to know each other, you sit down and watch this, start to finish,’ he hilariously revealed. 

In 2022, the couple, who mainly keep their relationship and family life out of the public eye, made various red carpet appearances together. 

Along with being a classy duo at the MET Gala, the two lovebirds additionally supported each other by attending the premieres of Fleishman Is In Trouble and Downton Abbey: A New Era together. 

Claire and Hugh potentially will make a glamorous appearance together to kick off 2023 in celebration of the actress’s Golden Globe nomination at the ceremony that is set to be held next week on January 10.
