Cheltenham Festival’s worst-dressed celebrities – including that nip-slip

Cheltenham Festival’s Ladies Day is a chance for the great and good of the showbiz world to come together and… flash their bits? That can’t be right.

Despite the strict dress code in place, several famous faces have tried to get away with flouting the rules at Cheltenham in years gone by.

At the top of the worst-dressed list is Katie Salmon, who somehow managed to sneak back into the racecourse this week despite facing a lifetime ban from the site, thanks to her nipple-flashing ways in 2016.

She and fellow reality star Jessica Hayes hit the headlines three years back when they were caught boozing and smoking on the VIP terrace.

The badly behaved twosome noticed the cameras and decided to flash their breasts for the photographers, with Love Island’s Katie pulling the scrap of fabric on her jumpsuit aside to expose her whole boob.

Jess followed suit by pulling down her bra and flashing her nipple at shocked onlookers.

For their antics, both reality stars were handed an official letter banning them from ever returning to Cheltenham.

BHA’s disciplinary officer Patrick Russell reportedly wrote to them both saying they’d "indecently exposed" themselves for paparazzi while inside the hospitality box.

"It is appropriate for the protection of racing that a strong message is sent that anti-social behaviour of this kind at racecourses will be firmly dealt with," he added.

However, racecourse rules mean that after three years has elapsed, banned festival-goers can appeal to have the ban lifted.

That could explain why Katie was back this year with not much else on.

She wore an eye-catching-for-all-the-wrong-reasons bright orange set of co-ords, consisting of a thigh-skimming neon ra-ra skirt and a bizarre cropped hoodie top that showed off her underboob and stomach.

Katie paired the odd outfit with matching bright orange calf-high boots and a pair of sunglasses – despite the rain and bitter wind.

She’s not the only celeb to get it glaringly wrong in the fashion stakes.

Her fellow Love Island star, Tyne-Lexy Clarson, arrived at Cheltenham in 2018 flashing the flesh in a dangerously low-cut bra top, which seemed to be straining at the seams.

She paired it with a chain-print blouse worn open at the front, a pair of black trousers and a Gucci belt – finishing off the look with a hat decorated with bird feathers.

And Olivia Attwood rolled up to the race event last year with then-boyfriend Chris Hughes looking like she couldn’t be bothered to make the effort.

The pair, who at that point were going through relationship problems, could barely stand to be next to each other, with Olivia looking increasingly awkward and miserable as she posed wearing skin-tight black leather trousers, teetering spiked thigh-high boots and a massive checked scarf wrapped around her body.
