They star together in the hotly-anticipated upcoming movie, Ad Astra.
And Brad Pitt, 55, couldn’t peel his eyes away from Liv Tyler as they attended the photocall for the fantasy drama during the 76th Venice Film Festival at Sala Grande in Italy on Thursday.
It wasn’t difficult to see why as Liv stunned in a colourful animated dress which flattered her figure to perfection and showed off her style credentials.

Liv wowed in the eye-catching number which boasted a number of funky designs in plashes of colours across it.

Liv looked every inch the fashionista as she posed away in towering black heels.
The star made the most of her natural porcelain features with rosy blusher and coral lips which complemented her glossy brunette tresses.

In an interview with the New York Post, Liv gushed about working with Brad, revealing: ‘Oh my goodness. He’s beautiful, and he’s so special and magical, but I was really taken by what an amazing actor he is!
‘He’s so present and so open,’ she continued.

In Ad Astra, a fantasy drama directed by James Gray, Pitt stars as an astronaut who travels through the solar system searching for his father, a renegade scientist who threatens the future of planet Earth.
Brad said in a recent press conference about the role: ‘In retrospect, what James and I were digging at was that definition of masculinity.
‘We’ve both grown up in an era where we were asked to be strong… and there is a value in that, but [also a] barrier because you’re hiding some of those things you feel ashamed of. We all hide and carry individual pain and wounds.
‘We were asking the questions – is there a better definition [of masculinity] for us… a better relationship with loved ones, with your kids and with ourselves?’

He went on to add that Ad Astra was ‘one of the most challenging films I’ve ever worked on’, adding: ‘The story is so delicate and we knew that any clips, voiceover could tip the film over, make it too obvious, so it was a constant effort to try to maintain a balance and keep this story unfolding in a very subtle and delicate way.’
Tommy Lee Jones plays the father and the cast also includes Donald Sutherland and Ruth Negga.
And Ruth certainly looked sensational as she channelled old school Hollywood glamour in an incredible jumpsuit.
She complemented the gold accents with matching heels, boxy clutch and chunky choker.
The movie is appearing in competition at this year’s festival.

The 76th Venice Film Festival sees a highly anticipated lineup compete for the coveted Golden Lion award, with many big Hollywood pictures making their premiere at the annual showcase.
The jury is led by Argentinian director Lucrecia Martel, and also features Canadian critic Piers Handling, Japanese actor Shinya Tsukamoto and British actress Stacy Martin, who landed her breakout role in 2013 as the younger version of sex addict Joe in the Lars Von Trier erotic drama Nyphomaniac.
Ad Astra is set for release in cinemas across the UK on September 18, and in the US on September 20.
