However, Ant McPartlin, 43, looked far from happy when he stepped out in his hometown of Newcastle on Saturday.
The TV presenter had brought his girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett, 42, to the Tyne to see his mother Christine Woodhall ahead of the Christmas period.
The loved-up duo were seen spending a few hours at Christine’s home before going to a Christmas gathering in the city’s Chinatown district with his family.
It’s not the first time Anne-Marie has joined Ant on a trip to Newcastle, she previously accompanied him the week he was granted a divorce from ex-wife Lisa Armstrong.
Ant’s trip home comes after his representative denied a Daily Mail report he was making a "sudden" return to Britain’s Got Talent after growing "jealous" of Holly Willoughby’s success as his stand-in on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
His rep branded the report a "complete fabrication", insisting Ant’s BGT return was always on the schedule for January 2019 after his nine month career break.
"It is also a complete lie to say that Syco were not aware of Ant’s plans to return to BGT until recently. Senior staff at ITV and Syco were aware many months ago," he told Mirror Online.
The Geordie is preparing to join BFF and presenting partner Declan Donnelly at the first Britain’s Got Talent auditions in January.
His return come after he missed the 2018 BGT live shows after taking a step back from his TV commitments to focus on his sobriety after his drink driving arrest.
Ant has had a complicated 2018 as his problems spiralled further following his initial trip to rehab in 2017 for prescription drug and alcohol misuse.
His wife Lisa was left heartbroken when Ant announced their split in January and started dating their former PA Anne-Marie two months later.
The couple were granted a decree nisi in October after Ant admitted adultery to speed up their divorce because he was legally still married, although separated, when he started dating Anne-Marie.
