Amy Schumer horrifies Oprah Winfrey with bowel movement confession

Amy Schumer left talk show legend Oprah Winfrey shocked and horrified when she confessed she had not been to the bathroom in six days.

The 38-year-old comedienne was a guest on 65-year-old Oprah’s Charlotte date of her current Weight Watchers 2020 Vision tour on Saturday where she shared insights and advice on motherhood and parenting after becoming a mum last year.

Before taking to the stage, Amy and Oprah enjoyed a chin wag where conversation quickly turned to bowel movements – with Amy shocking Oprah when she explained she was experiencing a gruelling case of constipation.

While the toilet talk may sound like it would be best kept private, Oprah felt compelled to share the conversation after Amy openly discussed her bathroom antics with the live audience of 15,000 people.

“Listen, I heard @amyschumer hadn’t [pooped] and I thought it was TMI—but then she told a sold-out arena about it and apparently people love to talk about [poop] (or not),” Oprah wrote as she took to Instagram to share a video of their chat.

“Amy, thank you so much for spending your Saturday making US laugh and sharing your journey through motherhood, marriage, and yes [poop],” she added.

In the video, recorded on Saturday, Amy admitted: “I can’t really complain except I haven’t pooped since Monday.”

A stunned Oprah could then be seen gasping: “Monday? Since Monday!? That is a long time!”

Amy begged for advice, saying: “There is not much comfort happening here. Any tips?” with Oprah suggesting a dieters tea could help move things along.

Amy then stated she didn’t want to risk using a laxative tea ahead of her on-stage appearance, declaring: “I was going to do smooth move, but then I was scared it would hit when we are on stage. So I’m waiting until after.”


Following their live interview, Oprah was delighted to later receive a text from Amy as she flew back to her home that declared she had “pooped on the plane.”

Ms Schumer has been delighting fans in recent weeks with her honest and candid social media updates – winning praise from fans as she discussed the trials and tribulations of attempting to conceive via IVF.

The I Feel Pretty actress is currently trying to conceive her second child with her husband, chef Chris Fischer, after they welcomed their son, Gene, in May 2019.
