This Adorable Cloth Wiped Away My Longest-Wearing Lipstick in Seconds — Really

My cleansing routine goes as follows: a few sweeps of a micellar-water-drenched cotton pad, a quick rinse with a cleansing oil, and a final wash with a gel cleanser. It seems extensive, but I do it to ensure I get all the foundation, eyeliner, and lipstick off my face before bed. Then I tried the tiny, lip-shaped Take My Face Off Vlada’s Mitty Pout Reusable Lip Cleanser ($26) by Vlada Haggerty, and it condensed all of those steps into one.

The red cloth has slots for two fingers, making it easy to maneuver across skin and remove even the most difficult-to-remove makeup from your face. The proof? Last night, I had on some colored mascara that would not wash off, no matter how much micellar water or oil cleanser I used. It stayed on until this morning, when remembered I had Haggerty’s product in my purse. I whipped it out, thinking it would be perfect for my eye area, and immediately ran it under the faucet with just a dollop of gel cleanser. As I started to gently glide the cloth across my eyes in circular motions, it instantly broke down the mascara I’d been trying to remove for an entire evening.

Since Haggerty designed this mitt, and lipstick is her forte, I thought, “This would have to work on even her most difficult-to-remove lip masterpieces.” I tested that theory by swiping on one of my longest-wearing liquid lipsticks. At that point, I was a little nervous. If this fabric didn’t work, my already chapped lips would be destroyed. I squeezed gel cleanser to the corner of the cloth and rubbed it across the lipstick in circular motions. It wiped my lips clean.

The Take My Face Off Vlada’s Mitty Pour Reusable Lip Cleanser is made from a microfiber material, and while it’s true that microfiber cloths already exist, this one is special in how it is the perfect size and contains the right amount of fabric to easily hone in on difficult-to-remove areas. Also, its lip shape makes it adorable; how many microfiber towels can you feel good about displaying on your vanity?

You can pick up your own at the Take My Face Off website. Ahead are more images of the hard-working pair of lips.
