Abbey and Peter married in 2012 and share four children together: Sophia, 11, Liberty, seven, Johnny, four, and Jack, three.

The footballers have remained firm friends after playing together for England.

The holiday comes after Abbey poked fun at Peter as she lambasted him for laughing too loudly at a recent comedy show they went to.

Peter said: ‘We had a great Friday night didn’t we. We went to see Mickey Flanagan. I enjoyed myself!’

Abbey quipped back: ‘Well you had a better Friday night that me! It’s just really annoying like, I wasn’t feeling too well.’

Peter then joked: ‘Didn’t we just know it! Do you know what my crime was? Laughing at a comedy show! Laughing too much!’

Abbey went on to explain: ‘No you were just like, I don’t if you thought ‘I’m at a comedy show so I’m going to try and upstage Mickey Flanagan to our own friends.’
