Refreshingly, Amber Davies is no stranger to sharing make-up-free selfies on her social media channels, and so you’d be forgiven for thinking that she has perfect, problem-free skin.
But the Love Island star recently revealed that she suffers from one very common but very annoying skin complaint: eczema, in particular under one of her eyes – not a place that’s easy to hide.
Fortunately she has found the perfect product for clearing it up – Cetraben Cream, which costs just £4.99 from Boots.

In an Instagram story, Amber – who won the hit reality show back in 2017 alongside Kem Cetinay – shared a snapshot of her skin, explaining, “Eczema deciding to flare up under my eye.”
“Cetraben cream is the best for me if anyone else has random flares of it!” she goes on to reveal.
Cetraben works by helping to repair the skin barrier, locking in moisture and protecting it from irritants. This cream can also help to soothe dermatitis, psoriasis and generally dry and flaky skin.
Cetraben’s Natural Oatmeal Cream, £8.99 from Superdrug, is another favourite with the OK! beauty team. One of our testers, who suffers from itchy skin, reported that “it’s the best body cream from the ‘specialist skin’ section that I’ve tried”, and that it makes the skin feel “more comfortable, very hydrated and less inflamed.”
And Amber isn’t the only Love Islander to suffer from this irritating skin condition – Molly-Mae Hague has also made no secret of her struggles with eczema. The product she has found to help is Eucerin UreaRepair 10% Urea Cream, which costs £12.49 from Superdrug.
If you also suffer from eczema, dermatologist Dr Mary Sommerlad reveals her top tips for managing flare ups:

Moisturise
“Moisturising top to toe is the number one thing people with eczema should do. It’s important to moisturise the whole body, not just where the flare-ups are, as this will help reduce flare-ups elsewhere,” Dr Mary Sommerlad says.
Know your triggers
“Individuals with all types of eczema are usually triggered by something and understanding what these are and trying to avoid them will help reduce flare-ups. Your flare-ups could be stress related, or it could be caused by fur, materials such as wool or even dairy. Avoiding these where possible will help you manage your condition.”
Know your ingredients
“Look out for these three main types of ingredients when dealing with dry skin – humectants, occlusive and emollients.
“Humectants attract moisture into the skin. Key humectants are hyaluronic acid and glycerin.
“Key occlusive ingredients are mineral oils such as liquid paraffin, petrolatum, lanolin and silicone.
“Emollients soften the skin by filling the gaps in between skin cells. Examples include various ingredients derived from plant oils such as shea butter, squalene and linoleic acid."
