Wolf of Wall St wannabe posts 'checking stocks at wheel' on Instagram despite driving ban

A WOLF of Wall Street wannabe has been caught out bragging about his lavish lifestyle behind the wheel in high-flying Instagram snaps.

Self-described financial trader Lee Davis, 24, shared a photo to his 26,000 followers, together with the caption: "When traffic hits, I check trades."

But a speedometer in the background revealed the Southampton Forex trader was travelling at 30mph.

In another embarrassing twist, new details emerged that Davis was, in fact, banned from driving altogether after a drink-driving charge and dashcam footage caught him driving recklessly.

The two-year ban – imposed in April – hasn't deterred Davis from fooling fans by posting old images

of himself driving his eye-catching green BMW.

UNIMPRESSIVE

But his eagle-eyed followers have been left less than impressed.

One follower spotted the blunder and branded it 'illegal' while others called Davis an 'idiot'.

One person asked: "Does it give you back your licence for drink driving and driving like a pr*** though?"

"You drive like a pr***, risk people's lives and you seem proud of you[rself]…" another said.

WEAK EXCUSE

Confronted with the negative feedback, Davis retorted he had no recollection of the photograph of him driving while on his phone.

Instead, the Wall Street wannabe claimed someone else posts to his social media accounts on his behalf and writes the captions to boot.

He explained: "This account is run by somebody else. They upload pictures of me and put a caption on whatever they think suits it."

I do what I want. It's my Instagram. It's my cars. As I am banned, I will put pictures up of last year."

Though Davis did admit recycling old photos in order to get attention.

He said: "I've got a nice lovely car and I want to put pictures up of it.

"I do what I want. It's my Instagram. It's my cars. As I am banned, I will put pictures up of last year.

"Like I said, I've got someone who runs my account and probably posting stuff as I speak now."

The high-flyer, who claimed he earns a six-figure salary and has "amassed a small fortune", makes regular attempts to show off his lavish lifestyle on social media.

Some photos show Davis flaunting Selfridges and Louis Vuitton bags claiming he'd been shopping that day and using the same photo nine months apart.

Others show a Rolex watch and a wad of bank notes.

Accompanying one post is the caption: "Earning money faster than you can spend it is the aim of the game".
