Who is TikTok star ChozenWrld and why was he arrested?

TIKTOK helped the FBI put together the big picture and arrest a man who allegedly carried out a string of armed robberies.

Ironically, he was busted by the shoes he was wearing, both on CCTV footage, and the social media platform.

Who is ChozenWrld?

Chozen Terrell-Hannah is the social media star's real name.

He is 22 years old and resides in Detroit, Michigan.

His TikTok account became famous for videos of his dancing and lip-synching.

He has 149.8k followers on the platform and 1.6million likes.

He wore what appear to be the exact same white Nike shoes with red accents that were later tied to the alleged crime scenes in several of his dancing videos.

Why was he arrested?

Terrell-Hannah was arrested for allegedly robbing four different Detroit-area stores at gunpoint over three months.

The first was a 7-Eleven convenience store, in which the suspect was wearing all black, with white shoes and a black backpack decorated with pink flowers.

The following three robberies took place at a Marathon gas station, another 7-Eleven, and a tobacco store.

How did the FBI connect him to the robberies?

The FBI was already investigating the case when they received an anonymous tip to check out Terrell-Hannah's social media, including a Snapchat account, which led them to his TikTok account.

From there, they studied his videos and determined that they had enough evidence for a warrant on his location data.

His phone's location data showed that Terrell-Hannah was in the same area as each of the robberies when they took place.

Finally, the FBI raided his home, where they found his shoes, the backpack, and a weapon that matched the description and bullet from one of the crime scenes.

Terrell-Hannah confessed to all four of the robberies after FBI agents after they raided his home in February 2022.

He is charged with robbery affecting interstate commerce and possessing a firearm during a violent crime, charges that could result in a prison sentence of more than 20 years.
